Stupid fast charge question

I have it enabled on mine & know will only do it using the kit that came with the phone. What I'm not sure of is should I disable the option when I'm low & only have access to older chargers/pocket batteries? I'm assuming don't have to but like to make sure.

I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure the answer is no to this ..I'm guessing the hardware/software I'd able to compensate for this automatically.

You don't have to disable it. When using a regular charger it simply won't be activated so it doesn't matter. The only reason to turn it off is if you are using a fast charger and want it to charge at normal speeds. The main reason would be if your phone is getting overheated or to save a little bit of battery life due to heat deterioration.
