Stupid Mistake…Getting a iPhone 12 Pro Max

I originally bought a S21 Ultra at release…the silver model or whatever it’s called. I liked the phone but didn’t really care too much for the color. But a great phone.

Ended up trading it at a local Cellphone place for a iPhone 12 Pro Max. And that was a huge mistake. Since having a chance to try the 12 Pro Max, I know I made a huge mistake in trading my Ultra for it. It has good battery life, camera is ok etc. But the Ultra is definitely where it’s at.

I’m trading this IPhone into Best Buy tomorrow and using that to buy a matte black Ultra this time…can’t wait!

You hate to see it... At least you know for sure what the right phone for you is though!

Easily done, but the usage experience between a Samsung and an iPhone is no comparison at all. iPhones are great if you just open an app and use it, but Samsung’s have customisation and an all round better experience. Even a pixel is nicer to use than an iPhone and it has less features than a Samsung.

Yep never likes ios, too limited like an old school cell phone of the 2000s, the only customization you can do is to change the wallpaper lol
Jailbreak used to give a bit more stuff but even this was stopped by apple
They never listened to Steve Wozniak who recognized to prefer Android phones years ago because it was more open and customizable
Eh! Sooner or later they will end like Blackberry :P

Apple is too big to fail right now. I don’t like iOS but I have an 8+ which is a nice phone. I like the size and no notch. It helps me run my Apple Watch which was my best replacement for a Huawei wear OS watch that lost battery life and had to be dumped. I track my sleep and none of the other watches had decent sleep tracking. And I do love the Apple Watch. So I will use an iPhone for that.

But my main phones are a Samsung S10+ and a Pixel 4a 5G and I love both of them.

No Android manufacturer can match the Apple ecosystem for me personally. Love my iPhone 12 Pro, and as far as Apple watch, iPad nothing comes close to that. And I use lots of Apple services like Apple fitness+ which is great. And there are many other Apple products and services I use.

Luckily I also get many Android phones every year, and currently have S21 Ultra and Pixel 5. Love Android as well but mainly use them as secondary phones since they don't have the ecosystem experience like Apple. And no the galaxy tablet and watch doesn't come close to iPad and Apple watch experience FOR ME.

I'm pretty sure 99.9% people in Android forums like to hate on Apple and some of the comments about wishful thinking that Apple will fail like blackberry . Sure there will be end to every company dominance some day, same applies to Samsung as well if you think it'll happen to Apple.

More seriously, at the end you use what you like and works. For me, even though I like and use both platforms, Apple ecosystem will always be my primary one since it works great for my needs. That doesn't mean it works for everyone, you make your own choice.

I agree , I'm not much in apple ecosystem as iam Google but I'm a fan of both Apple and Andriod and glad I'm able to use both platforms and its been long time using both .

Apple is my primary. Samsung is second because of their ads in software, lol.

You gotta use what works well for you! It's good that you tried Apple and now know that you prefer something else! It's best to experience both platforms, and then make a decision!

Not me. I agree with everything you said. Love my iphone 12 mini, and I'm looking into the Apple watch. Even though Samsung just released their best phone ever, I'm still tied to the ecosystem.

My one issue is Apple pricing. I feel violated

I actually have one of each. My personal phone is a Pixel 4a. My work phone is an iPhone 11. I've had a few different iterations of each over the past few years. For me, I enjoy the Android experience much more. It's not even a contest. But I can see why someone would like either.

iOS is too locked down and restrictive to be useful to me.

I have an iPad Air 4 but hardly use it. When I do it's only for a few minutes

I switched from the iPhone 4 to the Galaxy S2 and never looked back.

I tried to use the iPhone 6 plus because I thought the size would make it more useable buy wound up giving the phone away after a few weeks.

I tried out the iPhone 7 and sold it a month or so later.

On both occasions I intended to use it along side my Galaxy but iOS is just too locked down and restrictive to be useful to me.

I do have an iPad Air 4 but hardly use it because it still has the same boxed in feeling.

Am a Mac user for more than 10 years now. I have windows as My home laptop and never felt switching from mac. Also, been a note user since Note 2, have iPad at home for kids and briefly used iPhone 7 for few weeks but never felt moving out of this powerful Android system. Now I complement with Tab S7+.

Prior to the release of the hTc One M7, the iPhone's hardware used to be tempting, but not anymore. Android OEMs have stepped up their hardware game. I own an iPhone Xs which is still relatively new looking with 99% battery health, but I can't get myself to use it daily because iOS is just painful to use. I do use other Apple products though, like an Apple TV (4th Gen) and an iPad (5th Gen). When it comes to Phones and Laptops though, I'm sticking with Android (Galaxy Note9 or Pixel 4XL) and Windows (XPS 9300) for now.

I have a work-issued iPhone 11 but my personal preference and device is a Samsung S21. I prefer the customization of Android to include hardware and software choices.
