Stuttering?

I never get lag, I think. Define lag, maybe I have it and don't realize I have it. I thought lag was stuttering or a delay between input and response. I don't see this on my S4...not even when I used Go Launcher Prime which is one of the more feature-laden.

Wow a lot of really fast responses. It had nothing to do with how many apps are running in the background. I constantly close everything out and have noticed the lag immediately after optimizing the RAM. The lag seems to be worst when opening the messaging app or closing chrome. And I know the phone has 2 gigs of RAM but I am consistently running the phone where it shows 250-400 MB of RAM free. That seems light considering this is when the phone is at idle?

I don't have lag, sometimes i do have a "hiccup" for closing out apps or loading a system setting. But nothing that would be deemed laggy. Perhaps i could remove animation settings to fix that, as well.

I've experienced the same thing - not really "lag" per se, but definitely a jerky motion when I swipe from screen to screen in my apps screen. It only happens if I swipe the screen slowly though. I don't notice it at regular speeds.

I see what you all have described on my Note 8.0 LTE but not on my S4. Its like the Note 8.0 shoulda had a faster CPU/GPU or something, when I can find some proper instructions I'll consider rooting and ROMing it.

It's mildly frustrating too bc the phone overall is amazing. Great screen with an awesome battery. I'm just wondering if I'm being overly critical. Plus best buy just made the blue htc one $50...

If it's not too late go for the One... I read that it's great too.

Had both the One and now the G2. Found the G2 to be better in almost every way. The one area that the G2 couldn't touch the One was the front firing speakers. They were just awesome. But in terms of battery life, radio sensitivity, speed, camera etc, the G2 is a better phone IMO.

I'm sticking with the Androids at least until Apple makes a 4.8" or larger iphone, but I will admit that pretty much everything you have said is pretty much true although my Android experience is limited to S3 to S4 to G2. (S4 was the worst)

My thoughts too... I actually considered switching... There is a lack of Android devices i really like, i mean its like OEM's are taking away sdcards but only putting out 32g phones in the US..i also want a more smoothly running phone. Not just phone OS.. Where all the apps just work perfectly (like ios) ... But iphone is too small... For me that is..
So either android is going to continue to get better or apple will put out a bigger phone (seeing that they release 64g in US ).... & I'll buy which ever happens first... Im dropping all loyalty to any OS.. Just make a phone for me somebody!

Ya know. I can't help but want to agree. I just don't see Apple being as flexible as I'd want yet I do really appreciate their app ecosystem.

My S4 is extremely laggy compared to my One. Swiping between apps in the drawer are delayed. Bringing up the app drawer, swiping the notification bar down..it's really turned into a laggy device.

Nothing out of the ordinary either.. I dont get it!

Can you describe what you mean by stuttering. I do not understand because my phone seems to respond very well.
The most I have tried to do is leave open a lot of windows in the internet and switch between games on direct tv.
I want my phone to stay like this so if you can explain the lag then maybe I can keep mine like this.

The question is are the majority of iPhone users all over the world wishing for a larger display? I don't know the answer to that...how could I?

The Order Odonata. There can be only one.

Yes. Maybe not all, but many want a larger screen. Some even prefer the 3.5"screen on 4S because they honestly want a phone that can be used one handed without performing thumb / grip acrobatics to make that happen.
However, I love iOS. Love Mac computers, even used to work for Apple Store, but I want a bigger screen so bad, I am willing to put up with android to have a bigger screen. I lose all my close phone / computer integration, iMessage, mail, contacts, and calendar, iCloud syncing, updates getting to my phone without waiting a year or having to buy a new device to get them.
But, I will give up all that for a 5.2" screen....sick of the tiny *** iphone screen...

I understand. I think Apple's approach may be that when you want a bigger screen you'll use your ipad. If that's what Apple thinks I can't say I agree.

Don't believe any of the other posters here. The G2 is running the exact same OS as the Optimus G Pro on a newer CPU.

I extensively tested the G Pro. It was fast to complete tasks, but it clearly stuttered and froze everywhere. Every single screen has stuttering and choppy animations at some point or the other. There is no comparison whatsoever between an iPhone and this in terms of smoothness. Event the Nexus 4 is far smoother.

The only smooth screen on the phone is that bubble on the lockscreen. Even that stutters and lags if Chrome is in the background behind the lockscreen.

One thing I'd like to point out is the G Pro has extremely good battery life for continuous use. It's easily double other phones in the browser.
