Style 2+ Stylus broke off inside

My friend has the Style 2+ and the stylus broke off inside. It was out of warranty by 2 weeks and LG said they won't send her a replacement phone and take that older phone back. They said to her, send it in and they'll fix it but we all know what kind of a horror that is. It happened to me 5 times and my phone still doesn't work thanks to Samsung and their wonderful Plano Texas service facility. So my friend doesn't want to wipe her phone clean and send it to LG for 2 weeks and then have to reset everything again.

Has any of this happened to any of you and if so is there an easy way to get that old stylus out? This actually happened in the phone store and they broke it off in the store and MetroPCS is blaming her. It's a real s*** show.

Does the stylus click into place, or does it just stay in place by virtue of how it fits in the slot? If it doesn't click and lock into place, you could try the technique people have used for a broken headphone plug stuck in the jack -- but it requires using superglue, so you'd have to be careful not to get it stuck on anything else!
