I was pleased when I got the phone 3 weeks ago. Same as most users I got battery life and overheating issues which I could overcome (not that much) by doing some tweaks .
The problem now is what I got 2 days ago, while my phone was locked and I tried to unlock it, there was no response for the touch screen, the notification led was flashing normally though, the back buttons responded after I pressed and hold for a long time, I couldn't restart the phone normally using the power button as the touch screen freezed, so I had to remove the battery.
That issue happened twice in 2 days, I did no app installation during these days, no software updates, nothing at all, also I have no external SD card installed, nor screen protector.

Welcome to AC and the G3 forum.☺

Are you able to boot into Recovery, for a Factory Reset....assuming that you're personal data is backed up?

Thanks for your concern,
The phone is already on, every time when that happen I need to reinsert the battery and it's ok, but I'm afraid of this happens again in the future.

I had the same issue when i switched from dalick to art run time.

Never really noticed a lag, but saw a post where changing the run time would get rid of it.

After doing that my phone would lock upon wake up several times a week. The only solution was a battery pull.

Once I went back to Daliek the phone stopped locking up. . The Dr wasn't happy, but I was as it solved the lock up issue.

As I never noticed a lag issue in the first place, I probably should not have changed it.

Overheating and battery issues? That alone should have warranted a return.
Why would anyone keep something that does not perform as it is designed to?
Clearly this thing was defective from the start.

There is a thread on here stating that if you go into the developer settings you can change the run time of the phone from Daliek to Art. (no clue what the difference is).

It was a solution to eliminate the lag that some people were having.

I found that doing that caused my phone to lock upon wake up. Switching back stopped the locking up.

I've had a similar issue and tracked it down to Swype keyboard. It didn't totally lock up the phone on wake up but it took a long time to respond (30-60secs). Once I clear the data and cache for the app, everything goes back to normal. Had to this once every 3 weeks to 1month.

Try doing a factory reset and install a few apps at a time to isolate the problem.
