Suddenly slow/laggy

Sometime about a month or two ago my phone's performance really started to tank. Battery usage as well has been rather poor.

When checking the battery settings it appears to be the phone idle process that is using the most battery.

I'm not sure if it corresponds to the AT&T updates that have come out. Is anyone else here seeing this issue?

I had to reset my V20 every six months or so to get the speed back. They've gotten better with the V30 supposedly. Did you optimize your phone and clear cache?

I would say make sure your internal storage is not almost full as well as I have gotten consistently slower performance when this was the case on my V20.

What app is that? My smart cleaning doesn't look like that.

I just cleared out the cache and deleted some unused apps. I'll see how that does but it was over 1/2 free space still available.

It has been for me at least. Whenever my phone starts slowing down that's the first thing I check actually. Usually I'm down to about 1gb to 500mb left in storage and I have to start either deleting things (mostly pictures) or transferring them to my SD card.

Clearing my cache seems to have helped some but that was only about 1 GB of data with plenty free space to spare.

Use smart cleaning. Maybe consider doing a factory reset. Uninstall or disable apps you don't use. Check the battery usage to see what's been using the battery the most.

So far the cache clear seems to have taken care of the painful lag. Some months ago I found the UC Browser app was causing issues.

Did you clear both the apps cache and the system cache?
