This is great info - I had ruled out some themes as the supplied icon layouts were not nice.

I am now using High_Contrast_Theme_II, which has a slightly better keyboard layout, but changed the icon to the default icon. This seems like a reasonable combo for now. I will take a look at swiftkey later.

FYI, you can use the keyboard in high contrast mode without any theme, just go into keyboard settings.

I tried keyboard using High Contrast, but found the keys do not have accent symbols/punctuation with long press, which I used a lot (e.g. $ ? ! etc).

I installed basic Swiftkey (without account/backup). I like the option to increase the size of the keyboard although the contrast is not as high, as it reduces my typos. This is better than the keyboard that comes with Jigh_Contrast_Theme_II.

My current setting is High_Contrast_Theme_II, default icon and Swiftkey/Medium as shown below.

I'm using a theme called "Ancient leather", but use a separate home and lock screen photo, and separate icon designs - icon pack I believe is Dark Icons or something like that.
