I filed down the nubs, about an 1/8 of an inch, at the bottom of the holster. It fits perfectly, after that.

Good to know, I will consider this, but after trying to file down the Innocase Surface case with no luck I am a little nervous Figured a dremmel would do the trick to get the Surface case to work with the extended battery, but wasn't able to get it to work, and as the case was already rather thin in the back I was afraid to take too much off.

I have already gotten used to the fact that I have to push the bottom of the phone into the holster to make it work with this case, but if I decide to try to file the nubs, what did you use to file it down and did you just file the tops of the nubs (when holding the holster with the clip on top)? Thanks.

Well, at first I used a razor knife to whittle it down and shape it so it would remain rounded. That worked OK. But, it just wasn't enough and I didn't want to take too much off or cut myself trying either.

That's when I just decided to use a file. I used a standard triangle file (from a shop). I don't recall the coarseness. The plastic grinds down pretty easily so it shouldn't matter too much. I sort of freehanded it to retain the rounded shape of the nubs. My OCD wouldn't allow me to just leave it looking like it had been filed lol.

Because of this thread I went to my local Verizon and I was able to find this Dual cover case and I love it. I highly recommend this case for the Droid x.

Best case period. Soft on edges so it doesn't scratch my phone when I remove and put on the case. Hard on back to be durable against drops.

It is a cheaply compared to some premium cases out....good deal....I would never use it, as I run mine naked, and when I go fishing, it is a beast trident kraken...however, I would run this case daylong if I was into plastic

I love this case and fits perfect with the VZW extended battery. I do like it but wish it came in more colors then black. Maybe blue or red or something else besides black.

Had one of those on my Fascinate before I returned them. My wife still has a red one on her Fascinate and loves it.

I'm using a cheap TPU (Thermo PolyUrethane) case on my X and I like it. I would've purchased this case had I seen it in my local Verizon store.

Well, I have had this case for two months now and it still looks great.

What can I say - love this case. Use it as my everyday case and it has taken a few drops and bumps but it doesn’t look like it has. This thing has held up great, no scratches, no blemishes, my phone has never over heated on me, it has never interfered with signal reception, and it has always allowed me to easily access the buttons on the side of the phone.

Ah forgot to mention I have a cheap cover for when I'm at work..ops.

It's all black and dirty and I usually wash it once a week.

Picked is up at my local verizon. Very nice, simple case. Fits in my Platinum holster and very easy on and off. Does not feel as greasy a my epik case can get even from clean hands handling each day. Epik is still pretty darn good for the price though. Nice to have a change once in awhile!

We have four of these on the family's Fascinates and just got one for a new Droid X. IMO, these are the best case/cover product out there. I cannot tell you how many times the silicone ring has saved the day, and they add very, very little bulk or thermal insulation. It's a great product.

This case isn?t the easiest thing to get on and off, but it isn?t a pain either.

I have had this case for over three months now, it is still rigid, yet easy to install.

I have noticed that it is easier to install by placing the entire right side (side with all the buttons) of the case. I have found that if you install it with the left side (side with the USB and HDMI ports) that the camera and volume buttons get in the way. I have even heard of complaints that the camera button can easily pop off of the Droid X.

To remove the X from the case, just do it in reverse. Take the left side out by pushing the top and bottom corners of the left side of the case, then slide the rest of the case off the X.
