Surprised not many users

I’m very surprised there are not more users posting here. I could understand last year being just Gen 2 and the lack of water proofing but I thought for sure we would see many more fellow users posting this year with the Fold 3.

Fedex is trash. My order has been sitting as delayed for 4 days and has not been scanned at all. The last scan says out for delivery and nothing since. So who knows where it is. Everytime I have something shipped fedex I always have issues.

Yup. Mine as well.

Also, the people who did get them are probably busy configuring it or something. I recall back with the Note 20 Ultra - there was a lull in activity for a few days at launch because people were busy using the device. But, indeed seems like many folks having issues with FedEx which isn't all too surprising.

Yeah FedEx seem to have lots of issues this time around. Mine also was supposed to be delayed while it was on delivery truck but luckily delivered. On the other hand my Buds 2 is still sitting in Texas from August 25th without any movement. Looks like FedEx is having some serious issues moving packages.

Loving mine... Been 2 days. But been really busy at work so....

Funny thing I really like how well the hinge comes together on the back where my fingers rest when holding it open. It is pleasing.

I didn't plan on getting the fold, but with the Note line on hold for at least a year, my curiosity got the best of me and I got it yesterday at the ATT store. Without an IP rating last year it was an automatic no. But this year it has alot to offer. Less than 24 hours in and it seems to be a great device. The front display being small is definitely going to take some adjusting to. I've got 2 weeks to decide so we will see. Also ATT is giving $1000 trade in on anything newer than an iPhone 8. I have 30 days to find one and trade it in so that makes the phone $800.

That was my route and i end up canceling my order from ATT and went with Samsung for Unlocked 512GB deal Samsung was offering and $200 gift and $625 trade, got Ear Buds 2, 20,000MAH batteries.

Personal opinion it's going to be a niche product until they get the price down.
I'm sure it'll go down little bit more, but I think they want to market the Flip 3 at the regular flagship smartphone price range and market the Fold as a more premium offering with significantly higher profit margin. I don't see it changing anytime soon unless foldable becomes more mainstream which is still few years away. Yes the Flip might help push that market but still it'll take time.

Both Samsung and Apple are always looking at how they can increase the price of the phone. With Fold, Samsung has a good marketing message so they will stick to the very high price for the considerable future. Also, at the moment they don't have much competition in this space.

I'm sure we'll get way more users soon enough - and people who *want* to be users! Take heart!

A lot of people, myself included, don't want to pay $1,800 for a phone of questionable durability. Sure, it has IPX8, but long term use on a display that folds is still very questionable.

Exactly this. Most reviewers are calling the Z Fold 3 the "most mainstream folding phone" yet it cannot be mainstream when it's priced too high.

With the S20U trade-in and multiple discounts and cash back it cost me 900 out the door including tax to upgrade to the 512 model. WIth free acidental damage warranty for one year, durability is not a concern for me. If I keep it beyond the first year I'll just pay monthly for the warranty, but most likely I'll trade it in for Gen 4.
