Suspicious battery drain

For the past couple of days my battery has been draining unusually fast with little to no use. I checked the battery stats and everything seemed normal except for cell standby- which was in the 30% range.
I ran a health check and found that my screen has been staying awake- sometimes for up to 8 hours, even though the time out is set for 5 minutes.
Could this be a virus?

Nope. Potentially an app innocently running amok. The cell thing could be bad reception, and the radio working overtime trying to pull in a signal. Gsam battery has a 'sucker' feature to see who's draining the battery.

Yup. Turn off then on. It may just be an app that's stuck. Give it a full charge after the reboot and see if that makes a difference.
