I asked at the Maui Costco Verizon kiosk and called 888-3695931 (Costco's phone for cell phone online ordering) and both told me 90 days to switch to any phone they carry. I wonder what the real story is. Any experience out there.

That's only if you're returning the same phone for the same phone. Otherwise it's 30 days.

And it wouldn't cost more if the phone you're switching it out for costs more right?

If I were to get off Prepaid, I'd probably go for that Maxx but I've found out purple is my color so I might go for the Razr violet O_O


But my prepaid works just fine and I'm saving money

Fact is, no one can pre-order the Razr Maxx regardless of the type of account held. It's available tomorrow to all. I have both account types, and VZW simply will not enable it in their ordering system until 26Jan2012. The OP may have a rep who will place the order on the 26th, but not before. All things are equal on this one.

Let me just reclarify..as you edited your post. The nature of the business i am in and the work we do on a commercial level with VZW.. my phone was preordered. It actually arrived in store ready for me yesterday.

Now if you choose not to believe me, thats fine by me. But i really did feel the need to set you straight after your edit

Thanks for the clarification. My edit simply added, "and anyone else who goes to the store tomorrow to pick up the phone." Nothing nefarious here; however, VZW has become very careful about releasing phones early due to the OG experience a couple years ago. I know, they're my client. The 26th has always been the planned availability date.

Good luck with your Maxx! I believe it will be just the answer for those of us business users requiring a stronger battery.

LOL If you find a way to get one for less than $650, let us know. I think we're stuck with the thin RAZR unless paying full price.

Here is what you do....
One either sell it, or add another line, buy it on contract for 300.00.
Do the trade in program, get a 148.00 gift card then pay the remainder of the ETF
200.00 bucks. Hence you have just purchased the max for what would
have been the price of a 1yr contract.....
That is if u have the 200.00 to blow.
