Swapping SIMs regularly

Hi there,
Windows phone user here making the jump to Android with a G4 (haven't purchased it yet). I currently have a Lumia 1520, and I'm wondering if anyone has experience swapping SIM cards on a regular basis? Does it work effectively?

I bought a nano to micro SIM adapter and would love to be able to switch phones at my leisure, but the guy at the AT&T store said it could cause problems with the network and I may experience dropped calls/connectivity issues due to the IMEI/serial #s attached to my account being the 1520.

Has anyone dealt with this? Is the AT&T guy full of it? Thanks for your time.

First off the likelihood of a customer service person at a carrier retail store actually knowing something is depressingly low. Sad but it's the way it is.

Not having he right IMEI attached to the SIM in their account doesn't seem to do anything to me for the ten or so phones I've had BUT you MUST have the right APN info in the phone for that carrier to get things working. I had someone say that the APN doesn't matter if the IMEI matches but I don't know the truth to that as I'm certainly not going to call AT&T every time I swap handsets.

On Verizon, when I put my sim in a different device my account recognizes it and the new device shows as the active one on my line. Essentially the SIM is the active piece here, the phone just takes advantage of that

Verizon here.....swap all the time as well with no issues.
What's interesting is how quickly my account on VXZ shows a picture of whatever phone I am using pretty quickly.

Another Verizon user here that regularly swaps sims between devices. Never had an issue. Your account info is linked to your sim. Once you put that activated sim into another device, the network automatically recognizes it and links it to your account.

Thanks a ton for all the replies. Glad to hear it works without issue, can't wait to pick up my G4!
