Is anyone using the Swiftkey for tablet? If so, do you find it better than the stock tablet?

I love the swiftkey on the on S3, just not sure if I want to buy another version...

I'm using Thumb Keyboard, although I almost went with Swiftkey (haven't tried it yet, went off of rating/recommendations). I'm interested to hear the feedback though.

I use SwiftKey 3 and also have Thumb Keyboard on my Electrify. I figure I'll load up Thumb first and see how that goes, but I figure it won't take me long to buy the tablet version of SwiftKey.

So you prefer Swiftkey over Thumb KB? Maybe I'll check it out then.

I went back and forth between SwiftKey X and Thumb Keyboard, but I got in on the SwiftKey 3 beta and have not looked back. If it wasn't for the $25 credit I might of stuck with Thumb Keyboard since I already have it and I did enjoy it.

But yeah SwiftKey 3 is hands down the best I have used.

I'm a Swiftkeyaholic lol... Am I reading the ejraney's post correct though that there's a tablet version you need to buy separate? I assumed the same app would work on the tablet as I use on my phone.. specially since the Nex 7 doesn't even use the tablet UI of android.. ?

I downloaded Swype beta just like I have on my phone and have enjoyed it all over again.

Might try the phone version and see how it works first, before plunking down $4. But the tablet version might be better if your going to type in landscape much.

Maybe someone that has the N7 already can say if the phone version is even available.

Im a big swiftkey fan, so i picked up the tablet version instantly and it works great. I didnt try the non tablet version at all, nor have I tried any other kinds of keyboards on this. I just like to use swiftkey too much to say no.

Has anyone tried Swype on the N7 yet? I loveSwype on my phone and find it frustrating to use a stock keyboard.

I put the phone version of SwiftKey 3 on the N7. It works great. I typically don't use landscape though, so I can't speak to that. I selected show arrow keys because it make the keyboard look and feel more balanced to me.

The only problem I had was it didn't play well with Chrome--kept repeating words when I typed. I wasn't happy with chrome anyway so I installed opera. No more repeating problem.

I just got my Nexus 7 two days ago and I'm giving the stock keyboard a going. I am a fan of swiftkey, so I'll have to wait and see. At first, it was terrible, then I had to go to the settings and tweak it a bit. Now'I find it predicts a whole lot better after you have been using it a Few days. it doesn't capitalize the first word on the sentence, and a few other things that in use to from swiftkey. Time will tell. You have to press the space bar after the period to get a capital letter. Oh well, we'll see. :-)

Tried to buy the Sk3 Tablet but was on Bluetooth so it wouldn't download. Did an immediate refund and now it show purchased and I can't download it. Don't know yet if it refunded my credit. Found Go Keyboard and trying that. So far I like it better! Bunches of customizations, too:D

I have Swiftkey for both my DInc2 and my Nexus 7. I bought the tablet version for the Nexus 7 and love it. I have not tried the phone version on the Nexus but I don't think it would be as good since you won't have the landscape option, which is crucial IMO. The landscape keyboard for the tablet has a great set up due to the keyboard being split in half so you can still two thumb type without any problems.

It's unfortunate that you have to pay for two different apps but I think it's well worth it.

It's the little things like that, that keep me using SwiftKey. Once you get used to them, it's impossible to switch to another keyboard
