swipe tool disabled by administrator

I need help in getting the swipe security tool to work.. its some how shows disabled in the security settings and greyed out. Can anyone help me with this.

Yes, swipe-to-unlock option. I went lock screen option nd its still greyd out.

Is the tablet encrypted? If so, that requires you to use PIN or password (or possibly pattern)--but not just swipe to unlock.

If it isn't encrypted, to go Settings>Security​ and try Clear Credentials.

its encrypted with a pin. I just did clear credentials.

now the pin is cleared nd the pattern or swipe tool is still greyd out.
