I have my apps on the homescreen in groups. When I am using one of those apps and swipe up to exit, it goes to the home screen instead of back to the group. Is there any way to change that?

Which phone and which launcher are you using? By "group," do you mean different homescreen pages, or are you talking about app folders on the homescreen?

I've never seen a launcher that exits an app back to an open folder. I doubt you can do that on Samsung's One UI launcher. Maybe there's a 3rd party launcher that does it, but you'd have to look around.

I have an S10+, and that's normal behaviour in Nova Launcher as well as in OneUI.

Thanks guys, just seems like that would be a useful setting, for me at least. I have a Social Media folder, so if I'm going to check FB and Instagram it would be cool to exit FB and go right back to the folder and go on to Instagram instead of home and back into the folder.

If you had just recently used Instagram, that's a perfect time to use the App Overview/Recent Apps button to switch quickly.

The Square Home launcher has a setting to allow to keep a folder open when returning to the home screen, if that's your cup of tea.

What type of gestures are you using? Go to settings>display>navigation bar>full screen gestures>more options. Under there you have two options of swipe from bottom and swipe from sides and bottom.

If you have swipe from sides and bottom, you have to swipe from left or right to go back as swiping from bottom goes directly to home.
