Switched from iphone

I switched from iPhone back when the note 4 came out. So, not that recently, but my wife still has an iphone and I have to say this note 10+ is the first note I have gotten that seems just as smooth to me if not more. I have had the note 7 and just recently the Note 8 and they did a lot of cool stuff, but just were not as smooth of an experience. The main issue for me has been the texting keyboard on android. For whatever reason I would do a ton more typos on android than apple. I even tried the other popular keyboards and it didnt seem to matter much. i was still missing the is keyboard to be honest. Now, I'm just using the stock keyboard on my note 10+ and it has been working great for me.

That had to be one of saddest apple events in history. Nothing new and a few more colors

The claimed 5 hour increase in battery life caught my attention. All based on a more efficient screen and chip. Is that even possible? Battery life if my pet peeve. If the new max really had that staggering level of improvement I might be swayed.

Just watched the apple event and honestly there was not much I would switch from my note for. I find the note to be the fastest device I have ever known. Apple upgraded the processor and cameras and that's it with the same pricing. Anyone switching back to apple after seeing the latest event?

TBF the A12 was already faster than the 855, the A13 Bionic is gonna run circles around the 855. Up to 5 hours longer battery life is kinda crazy on a phone that already gets equal battery life to my Note 10+. And it comes in green...

Am I gonna switch back, no, but I was more impressed than the rest of you.

I am very happy after this Apple event. I normally say that I will not be getting the next iPhone and then the event happens, Apple hits me in the face with that magic fairy dust and I am ordering a phone a few days later. Didn't work that way this year for me.

Will their A13 chip be faster than my 855 in the Note 10? Yep. Would I notice it in my everyday use, probably not. The A12 is faster than the 855 already and in my use, the Note 10 is faster/smoother than my XS.

That extra battery life sounds awesome! That one I will give them, if it holds up. Do I care enough to spend the money? No. My Note 10 Plus lasts me all day with no issues. I have all sorts of fast charging if I really need it.

That's it for me. The camera stuff is great and while it has all been done before, I am sure it will be super easy to do on the iPhone. Again, my Note 10 Plus camera shoots amazing photos and videos. Even if the iPhone ends up slightly better, I wouldn't give up my S-Pen and other features for it.

The real question is, will I hold to these statements in 2,3 or 4 months from now....we will see....I know I have a problem. The first step is admitting it, right? I think Apple helped me out today though.

For those that do choose to buy in, I hope you enjoy your new iPhone.

If true about the battery, I am very impressed. The xs max battery was its biggest drawback. Adding 50 percent battery life is a big deal. And it's now priced the same as the n10+ effectively. To me the biggest differentiator remains the 6.8 inch screen which is noticeably bigger than the max.

I've never had a problem with the battery in the Max, but we all use our phones differently.

I'm in the same boat as you are lol. I swore the Note 10 plus would be the phone I hold onto for at least a year. I hope I can stay strong with that lol. As @msm0511 said it's getting a little expensive to keep buying/selling and trading in these phones every few months. lol

My XS Max lasts me 2-3 days on one charge just as my S10+ and Note 10+ does. The S10+ has seen an even better improvement in battery life since the last firmware update. I had 3 days standby on my last charge with almost 6 hrs screen time. I would normally get 3 hrs screen time. I get those standby times though because I use the S10+, two Note 10+ and an XS Max so three days is average for me per device. When I get three days, that tells me these phones are seriously optimized these days.

Yes that caught my eye also. The new processor is notably quicker and more efficient. Battery life is already outstanding but Android has made some great strides also. If you don't own the newer iPhones it's a significant upgrade but since I came from the Max it's a bit meh IMO. I'm sticking with the Note +.

I'd love to swap out the iPhone x for the Pro Max .. and carry the best two big boys in town .. lol

Just things that annoys me .. Samsung gives me $600 for trade in and Apple wants to give me $400 wtf .. lol I know I can sell it but trade in perks are awesome with Samsung ..

Why 64GB low storage iPhone come on let's get 128GB minimum... Again I have cloud storage but stop trying to cheap out on us ...

I switched from iPhone XS Max to Note 10+. Use Google's texting app--Google Messages. It never crashes and you can use it on your browser!

I caught the Cliff's notes version of the Apple event today and the iPhone 11 Max Pro Max XS Max...whatever the hell they call it, seemed lackluster.

The XS Max only ever lasted me one full 24 hour day on a single charge.

Yea I never got more than 24 hours with my xs max. And this apple event was terrible. Nothing new as I expected. Just stuff copied.

And 5 extra hours. That will never happen.

They increased the battery size too based on YouTubers prior to event. I suspect that has a lot more to do with it.

Is it just me, or did they use a few less "Magical" this year? I think so. I mean they used hyperbole, but I used to enjoy these just to see how many things they'd label as magical or "first ever," or revolutionary, when Android had it for a few years already. Best of those of course was "courageous" in describing the removal of the headphone jack. Although, given how many Airpods they've sold, they were probably right about that one.

I use both and even tried putting both of my numbers on my XsMax with the eSIM feature. I could not last long using an iPhone as my primary device. I will definitely be trying it again tho with the new IPhone 11 Pro.

I dont understand how this is possible. I've been buying high end phones for years. I am a medium user. 4 to 5 sot per day. I've never gotten 2 days from a phone not named blackberry. My iphone xs max regularly needed a mid day boost. Most days it would survive with 10 to 15 percent leftover and a 19 hour day. My note plus seems to be doing better than the max did. If you are getting more than a day of battery you must not be using your phone much?

The note is so much faster than any iPhone out there hands down. iPhones have there own speed which is slow.
