Swype Beta & Root ?

I know others (myself included) have had the experience where an upgrade to Swype Beta is pushed (or is attempted to be pushed) but hits the AT&T wall, so to speak. Or, sometimes when you restart the phone you end up having to uninstall and then reinstall the newer version of Swype Beta. Personally, I don't mind, the time the app saves me in keying and emails and such is worth any extra time it takes to have to be occasionally reinstalled.

I'm wondering if anyone who has rooted their Inspire and also uses Swype Beta could reply if you also end up having to go through this reinstall process. Or does rooting the phone allow the upgrade to be pushed to the phone? Thanks for any info!

For now the phone will reset if you root it. And after installing swype you to restart the phone. Just saying, swype doesn't work when you overclock the processor.;)

Thanks for letting me know. I'm still weighing the pros and cons whether I want to root my Inspire.

Try SlideIT keyboard. The same thing as swype but doesn't need a work around. I love it and it's worked perfectly for me. No need for swype. Try it out it has a 15 free trial.
