Swype has stopped..uh...swyping?

For whatever reason I just noticed this morning that I can no longer swype across keys to type in swype. I can still tap out anything, but when I swype across the keys it just flashes blue around the edges and nothing else happens. I just installed the latest beta version last weekend and it was working fine until today. Anyone else seen this happen?

edit- And switching from Android keyboard and back seems to have fixed it. That was weird.

Noticed this the other night on my wife's phone and did the same thing to fix it

yea, had this happen to me too, so I switched back to the updated swype that was posted on XDA (that they took down...). didn't know that would fix this problem, thanks guys.

Not quite the same problem but, I have noticed that my Swype is horribly unpredictable and actually unuseable if I am plugged into an AC adapter. If I just unplug it and type then it's back to normal. Strange thing is this doesn't seem to be case with a car adapter. If it makes any difference it is a 2nd party rapid travel adapter and not the one the phone came with.
