I thought this would be a fun and informative thread to start as many people are now getting the invite to try swype beta. So far I really like it but as I use it I find that there are words that the program may not be able recognize despite how you try to swype them.
My word is ALL

if you type in the word it will manually save it for example **** it would spell duck . if you manually type it , it will save it and type **** every time lol

Most keyboard dictionary's don't include swear words, I've even seen some that don't have "hell" pre-loaded.

OK so I tried like hell to get the word "ALL" to just post in the message with out "ASK" coming up. I just figured out how to do it. After pressing the "A" and swyping over to the "L" if you move your finger back and forth over the "L" it will come up "ALL".

Yup, in the tutorial it tells you to draw basically a circle over double letters so it'll recognize it as a double.

I guess I should have viewed the video in the tips section before trying to figure out how to spell "ALL". Its actually in the video. LOL

How can I get it to add punctuation and save with certain words, that's what I want to know?

How about this: can you type "or" without getting "our"?

I guess I can just tell people it's the British spelling...

I seem to have issues with "good", it comes up "god" most of the times. I even double loop the "o". Started using a "triple loop" and its working most of the time:rolleyes:

Swype can be very problematic
Who would wang ti write the wrong wood
Sent using swype with perfect use

But it is also very fast

To get OR instead of OUR swype outside the keyboard at the top. go from O in an arc above keyboard to the R

To get IT'S you can swype through the N where the apostrophe is between the T and S. to get IS as the first suggestion and then you can just swype next word instead of choosing- swype from i down just below second row to the s. and of course to get ITS no apstrophe as first suggestion, swype from i to t to s.

Try "SUPERCALIFRADULISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS". I tried it for kicks and giggles and it just beeped.

every time I try to swype "out" it recognizes it as "oit" (not a real word, I used it once in a text message to stand for "Office of Information Technology").
