AC Question

Just got an S3 i9300 and tried to edit my contacts in Kies as I have done for some time with my Ace 2. Now I have to use SmartSwitch which is not that smart as I can no longer edit or add contacts!
Recommended on this forum to use Google Contacts, I have a google gmail account and went in to the phones - settings/accounts/gmail and 'synced' all that were listed on the phone. Went into Google Contacts on the PC and all I can see are my email accounts, I cannot see any of my contacts or anything else that was synced.
How do you transfer (export/import) from the phone to Google contacts?
Hope you can help.

Welcome to Android Central! I assume the contacts on your phone are currently saved to either the local Phone account or your Samsung account. You'll have to try exporting the contacts to a .csv or .vcf file, then import them into Google. Open the Contacts app, tap Menu, and look through its settings for an Export option. Once you've exported the contacts, import to Google as described here: https://support.google.com/mail/answer/14024?hl=en
