Syncing contacts with facebook?

Everytime i try to sync with facebook through account or facebook it adds the 300 people from my facebook into contacts with no pictures. Instead of just syncing the existing like i selected. Any way to resolve this?

I had that problem too after syncing with social hub facebook. So I had to remove that account and just sync it with facebook for android and then manually link to most of my current contacts. I'm sure there is an easier way to do it, but that is how I figured it out.

Was a solution figured out on this cause I am having this problem and would like to know how to fix this cause I like my contacts with their pictures.

Plus I'm rooted and on the ROM I'm using the Join/Merge does not work.
