System Data takes up 6.78GB

[Android Central Question]

Alright so my phone LG K10(2017) was full of crap and things which I couldn't delete so I was like screw it, I'm reseting so everything gets deleted. Everything got deleted including the SD card. And I was finally happy until I saw my "System Data" takes 6.78 GB from my phone. And when you get the 1.1 GB from applications automatically installed there you have it 8/16GB are gone from my phone and for what? I open my files and every folder is empty. I plugged in into my PC and checked again but every folder is empty or it has a couple of MB.I want to get rid of that system data. I really, really don't need it. Please help me!

The OS requires space in storage. No, that is not accounted for when the capacity is advertised (was it ever that way with Windows? didn't think so).
