Just don't understand how the system could use 90+ GB of storage.
If you purchased the 128GB phone you only have about 38GB of space left?
Is it only the 512GB & 1TB models that have so much space used up right out of the box?
Yes if you see my screenshot of the 128 GB and couple of others, it only has around 20 GB for the system. Not sure why that's the case in higher end storage models, but I vaguely remember something like this coming up in the Note 9 thread as well and someone had a good explanation. I'll see if I can find that later.Just don't understand how the system could use 90+ GB of storage.

Ok here it is, I knew this came up in Note 9 as well.

From the thread, but read up more in the above thread since it was the same thing in Note 9.
512GB = 477 GiB.
That's with absolutely nothing on the drive. The system partition is usually 10-15gb.so what you guys are saying makes perfect sense.

Yes, I remember this thread.
Still don't understand why a Verizon 128GB phone only uses 40GB or less out of the box while the 512GB or 1TB uses 95-100GB out of the box. It's the same OS on both devices.
