System update for Sprint HTC One

I too have the 1233 error code & I noticed when I boot the phone, a strange icon appears very briefly in the left hand side of the status bar. The icon is a square with </> appearing inside. Searched numerous glossaries but can't find what it means. Again, it only appears for 2 seconds or so. Phone operates flawlessly except for the PRL & profile update issue. Anybody know what this icon means?

I have wondered what that icon was too.

I was wondering too. I asked one of my friends that is a Android fan and an app programmer.

The icon is the Device Manager icon. What it is signaling is the that the Device Manager is starting up. The Device Manager is the feature added to Android that allows the user to track the location of their Android device.

I am having the same issue with losing signal and not being able to update prl or profile

I wonder if they took the update off the table as the 3 phones in our house still are on 3.04.651.2 with no update there for download.

They might have done that!

I know that there seem to have been a lot of problems with update. This is not the only forum where I have seen complaints.

My phone has been working fine. Only thing that annoys me is the alert when I've lost data connectivity and not being able to update my darn profile/prl.

And I agree that it is annoying!

Can you guys update your profile over wifi? Also are you having problems that you need to update it ? Just curious

Well I see it didn't fix the blue tooth error that crashes the radio..

Updated mine yesterday, only noticeable difference thus far is the "no data connection detected" message that pops up while on a phone call. Duhhhhhh....

Ok, so I downloaded and installed the latest update. So far, I am happy that I did.

After the update, I was finally able to again update my Profile, and my PRL.

Also my data connection seems to be more stable. My 4G antenna has started working correctly again, and the 3G seems to be more stable.

My 4g signal has definitely improved. Several places where it used to go in and out it stays pretty solid. NOW BRING ON KIT KAT! that was me being patient.......

I dont understand why everyone is getting worked up over kit kat...lol. There isnt that big of a change from 4.3. For the most part you cant even tell that you are 4.4. You will see some small changes with Sense 5.5 and thats about it.

Fair enough...it is just that I have heard that Kit-Kat has better battery life and that Google Now is better integrated.

You might see a little gain in the battery, As far as Google Now thats a big battery drain. Like i said you will see small changes but nothing big. I have a LG G2 also, now you talk about battery life. That bad Dude sips the battery its unbelievable.
