System 9 update resulted in my screen being tan/ off white tinted. Both Verizon and Samsung Tech Support said I need a reflash or reset to factory. All settings were evaluated and a Reset Settings was done.
Nothing corrected this issue.
Many thanks to the Verizon techs who spent hours trying to correct this problem.
Any others that have experienced this issue?
Please advise.
Thank you.

Do you have your Blue Light filter turned on?

If you have Google play books, check the blue light settings there. I had this issue as well and got it resolved by turning this setting off.

Even if the blue light filter toggle is off, it could still have a scheduled time to automatically go on and off. If you tap on the blue light filter title in settings, not the toggle, it takes you to the schedule settings.

You've probably done this already, but worth a shot to mention.

I just put s post on here but it isn't showing.......
So, the Play Books comment reminded me of something that I did with my previous Motorola droid phone.
While reading a book in Play Books, I would choose a screen tint to make it easier on the eyes.
So, went to Play Books and opened a page of a saved book, I tapped the bottom of the screen and a menu appeared at the top. I then opened the "Aa" shortcut and that brought up a "night light" option.
I Turned off" this option and the screen returned to the bright white color that I was used to.
So, this was the root of my tan tinted screen. This setting must have a global effect on the phone.
Don't know how this setting was changed, but it is fixed now.
Also informed Verizon tier 2 Tech Support of this fix.

Thank you all.

but you said you did a factory reset. that wipes everything so how come the play books app still retained its settings?

Settings reset, not factory reset. This way you only lose some personal settings and passwords........
A Factory Reset was one of the last resorts.
