T - 7 days from the 28th...Will they announce it tonight?

So it's 7 days from the suspected pre-ordering date of the 28th... Do you guys think Moto/VZW will officially announce it tonight? This would allow the buzz to spread throughout the weekend and be in full force next week.

What are your thoughts?

Agree at most it will be a few days ahead if even that early. I mean they didnt announce the droid 3 until after it had already went on preorder. Just saying.

Nope...bet it'll be like the Droid 3 and they'll say nothing until it can be preordered. Verizon doesn't care about advertising for Android much anymore. I'm sure once the new iPhone comes out they'll announce that way ahead of time.

I am not counting on anything at this point except the fact that we know on August 7th the FCC documents that had a 90 confidentiality hold will be made public. At that time we will get solid information on the phone. I still tend to believe that August 4th is a solid date just because all will be revealed 3 days later if the phone is out or not.

I almost have to agree. No real solid evidence that this phone is ready minus its approval by the FCC. I say mid August/September release ... maybe 2012 haha

I hate to agree also... so close to a date and no phone in the wild sightings? Maybe we just need someone to announce something like "all will be revealed tonight!" to get us through this.

Im not sure this silence from Moto is actually helping their cause, but honestly I think the 100 or 200 of us that refresh these forums and sites every few mins are the only ones that really know or care about these pre-released phones. The rest of the world is doing something meaningful with their lives. Like playing World of Warcraft or grocery shopping.

heh.. im pretty sure with all the pent up anxiety around here... the camera reveals at the end of The Hangover would probably be tame compared to what most folks will do.. well when they can pull themselves away from the incredible pentile display (I kid.. I kid... see even the true believers are starting to get punchy).

Auto refresh is a great thing. Plus, I teach guitar for a living. I can read and play just fine.
