I'm on the " Unlimited Loyalty Plan w/Total Internet Add-on " and just purchased MSRP a MT4G phone. During setup I ran into some problems with the phone and ultimately got a CSR to arrange for a new one to be sent out. Going threw the varies levels of customer support it was mentioned at a lower level that I would have to upgrade to what the CSR called a myTouch 4G internet plan for a additional charge. After I got to the upper level CSR my existing internet plan didn't seem to be a problem. Has anyone ever heard of this and if so your input would be appreciated. I'm paying 19.95 for the internet add-on now and would like to avoid a up charge.

I have no familiarity with a 'loyalty plan', but here is my tale from my recent purchase.

I had been planning on getting a phone with my holiday bonus and had been checking prices on plans, and settled on T-Mobile with the 'Even More Plus' month-to-month / no contract plan.

I bought mT4G on Thursday ('Nexus S day') for full price from Radio Shack. (most local BestBuy stores were out of stock, I didn't check a T-Mobile store for inventory)

T-Mobile seems to have gone back to calling the month-month plan 'FlexPay' instead of 'Even More Plus'. I was adamant about getting the phone for the 500 minute / unlimited text / unlimited data plan for 59.99 as I saw it on the site 1 1/2 months ago. The brochures in the store showed a $10 dollar higher plan for Flexpay. (I think it was 10 more...)

I lost my wallet two days ago and didn't have my D.L. with me for Radio Shack to process the account, so I just went out with the phone and called T-Mobile Customer Service.

My crappy Samsung Code WinMo phone on MetroPCS dropped the call as I was being transferred to a different rep, (they were talking about me having to go 'prepaid'), so I took the time to run into a local mini-mart and grabbed three $25 dollar T-Mo prepaid coupon cards and called back.

After explaining to the new person about wanting the 'Even More Plus' plan, they said I would need to have credit run for that, or I could go with 'FlexPay' and prepay each month for the same cost. I already had the coupon cards and said I'd use those, so they activated the phone, and transferred me to another person to read the coupon card numbers to them to count as a first month's payment. I should note that there is a 5 dollar surcharge if you don't have the amount automatically deducted from a credit card or bank account.

The few dollars that is left over is kept on the account in case I want to buy some T-Mobile ringtones or other stuff, or to be used as partial payment for the next month's bill.

I've had the phone for a bit more than a day, but am happy with it so far. Tell them you want the 'Even More Plus' no contract plan and they should hook you up.
they were calling the month to month plan now since T-Mo took it off of the website, going back to the old name of the no-contract plan)

) I paid remembered the 'Even More Plus' plans from October and recalled hearing that T-Mo Customer Service will still honor the plan despite it being removed from the website.

It seems that 'Even More Plus' (month - to - month / no contract) is back to being called FlexPay.

Same here loyalty plan, you get a sick deal every two years.

yep ^^^^^^^^^^

I have been with TMo since the Voicestream days. TMo seems to appreciate long-time customers, unlike past carriers I have dealt with (though it's been pre-2002 since i have had anyone but Tmo/Voicestream.

Been on T-Mobile for years. I had been using the 3G Slide but was not at all satisfied with it. We are on the Loyalty Plan as well. I called the Customer Loyalty Dept. and even though I was a year away from an upgrade they hooked me up with either the myTouch 4G or G2. They made an extensive note in my customer file that my local T-Mobile store was to honor the deal they set-up. I went into my local T-Mo store and the guys gave me a full demo of both... but said I would not be very happy with the G2 in the long run. They were all using the 4G as their personal phones. I took the 4G and paid $199 for it. Customer Loyalty set it up in the system that I was to be given the phone for the $199 price. They were right... this is the best phone I have ever had... period!

T-Mobile's CS is one of the reasons I will stay with them for years to come. I also have had zero problems with their network.. anywhere in the US that I travel. And here in Atlanta, the new network is great.

Not specific to the 4G, but I have started to notice that tmobile data coverage is somewhat limited outside of the major cities, at least in the pacific northwest. A friend of mine and I drove from portland to olympia to pick up a car, and as soon as we were past vancouver I had edge only coverage until we got in the vicinity of olympia. Moreover the edge didn't actually work, the phones indicated a signal but it was as if IP routing were turned off.

AT&T bounced between edge and HSDPA, but did always work, even if slowly.

Verizon had a EVDO-A signal the whole way.
