I've tried searching, and I can't find a definitive answer to whether or not I can root the following phone:

T-Mobile Galaxy S5
Model: SM-900T
Android version: 5.1.1
Baseband version:G900TUVU1FOG6

If so, can you please point me to the right tools. I know it will void the warranty, etc.

Thanks

Here are two threads that detail rooting the T-Mobile (USA) model, G900T, on Android 5.1.1 on both FOF6 and FOG6...

[ROOT/KERNEL] Root Method for FOF6 / 5.1.1

[ROOT/KERNEL] Root Method for FOG6 / 5.1.1

Grab a coffee and start reading.

The GS5 cannot be rooted... A way to do so has not as yet been found..

There are only 2 of the 40 Galaxy S5 models that cannot be rooted. They are the carrier branded, "cloneware", versions for AT&T, G900A, model and the Verizon, G900V, model. It is not Samsung's policy to lock their bootloaders by default or prevent rooting.
