It isn't free, as said above, I pay $30 a month additional above the regular $30 data cost for unlimited hotspot. But in comparison to other carriers, this is the best deal out there for me, as other carrier's plans, even legacy, do not have an unlimited hotspot option.

Right. I wasn't saying you get the hotspot feature for free. I was saying that you get to use an unlimited amount of it for a limited fee.
