T-Mobile: Galaxy Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

When I did it about 2 years ago went into a TMobile store, signed up for service, picked new phones, they ported the numbers over. Once the final Sprint bill posted to the account, I submitted that bill to TMobile and about 4 weeks later they sent a prepaid card for 2 ETF fees and 1 phone. They did require phones associated with those lines that were paid off be traded in but that wasn't a big deal.

It was a pretty killer deal when I switched because they were offering $200/line of you were coming from Sprint and I brought 5 lines. Didn't pay a phone bill to TMobile until the 5th month.

Thanks. Wow. 5 months without paying a bill. That's awesome. I have 4 lines. I'm not ready to leave verizon yet. But I'm just exploring my options if you know what I mean.

For sure. I was with Sprint 15+ years before making the switch. A couple months before I did it I did their 7 day service trial and it was on par with Sprint in my area so I just waited for a deal to pop up and that one came along.

I was on 8gb family share with Sprint at the time. All I asked from Sprint was to match the data allowance from Tmobile, which was 6gb per line at the time, and I would stay with Sprint. They said no way and offered a $5/month discount lol. TMobile paid out over $2100 in credits and ETF reimbursement to acquire my business and Sprint offered me $5/month.

I forgot to mention.
The rep at T-Mobile was looking at new pricing plans for me. He said there's one for those 55 years and older. I don't qualify, but it was one he found. He did find another one for me, I'll save a couple bucks a month.

My wife and myself got the 55 and older plan. $60 a month for both is incredible. Our coverage outside of Tampa is great. My home wifi is out for a few days, and with unlimited data, I don't have to worry about it. I have the S8+, and will wait for a price drop until purchasing the Note 8.

Wow that was a good deal. 15+ years? That's a long time. I've been with verizon since 2012.

We just switched to T-mobile after ten years with AT&T. Was paying $130/month on the unlimited plan with AT&T. We now pay $70/month ($10 extra for one line with mobile hotspot). That's $60/month savings by going to the T-mobile senior plan.
So far, coverage and speeds have been great.

Do you own your devices and accessories outright? I have three tmobile lines and my watch. I believe that portion is about $130 unlimited. But I have some devises on payments too. I've been pretty happy with Tmobile service

There's no way in he$% I will allow this thing to sit on my porch lol. I have Myups and can control it there, have it held for my pick-up

I forgot about MYUps. Usually If I have something coming UPS or FedEx I make sure I am always home.

We own our own devices. The Senior deal with T-Mobile was just too good to pass up. Ordered a Note 8 through T-Mobile, which is a carrier device. Not sure if I should have went unlocked, but I pay my phones off within a few months and get an unlock code. But with T-Mobile's international plan for only $25, I won't need to get a sim card anymore when I travel to Europe. Fantastic deal.

I had jumped to the Note 7 last year, and absolutely loved the device the short time I had it. I kept telling myself after I jumped to the S8 earlier this year it would suffice, but that pull for the Note was already eating at me. Just went up and pre-ordered. Really hard to beat $0 down, though my lease payment did go up $9/mo, but I know this is likely going to be my main phone for a long time to come now, barring any issues with it. Guy at T-Mo said the estimated ship date is 9/13-9/15. Pretty excited to get back on the Note.

Same here. I had the S8+ since launch. Preordered the morning after Unpack event. I paid a grand total $24 for next day shipping that's it. I have handled the Note 8 in store several times and absolutely love it. I've alwayd been a very avid Note person, since Note 3. I've used them all though since Note 1 ☺

I got the S8 instead of the S8+ specifically because I didn't want to pay money down for the S8+, in hopes that the Note 8 would also be $0 down like the 7.

They always ship from Louisville

Yep they do. It only takes 1 day when they ship from there for me, I wish it I could go pick it up, if what I've been told they are probably already here in the US waiting to be released from customs...... At UPS .....

Did any one get their hands on the device? How's it?
Phenomenal. I've messed with one four times already, between a few different stores.

I thought that's only if you order from Samsung, not T-Mobile.
Tmobile Facebook chat is how I preordered. They mentioned the 360 or the sd card and wireless charger. I'm gping for the card and charger. I submit for those after I receive the device
