T-Mobile: Galaxy S9/S9+ Official Pre-Order Thread

This is so atypical of TMobile.

Usually, TMobile ships out first, before everyone else.

Is it possible that Samsung picks one provider each year to be allowed to ship earlier than others so they can look like heroes?
I think it's got nothing to do with that, but just opinion. I think these are sent out in large batches.

Well, may these "large batches" include ours! ;)
That's how it happened with the S8+ and with the Note 8. Charges starting hitting everyone in the group, ship date updates, UPS tracking numbers. Fun's about to begin!

Well, some of the sprint folks' "partially shipped" notice on their screenshots can't be good! Maybe they are merely getting their "kit", whatever they are, but not their actual phones?

Co-worker just told me he placed his order with Sprint this morning and is being told he will get it the 12th. Taking it with a grain of salt but who knows. I'm on T-Mobile and mine said something like by the 14th.

Sprint is just shipping earlier than everyone else so I believe he will get his by the 12th.

I know all the carriers have the S9/S9+ devices by now in their main warehouse or at the UPS/FedEx shipping centers just waiting to be processed and shipped out but when they allow them to ship is up to that carrier.

Last year with the Note 8 it was T-Mobile that decided to ship way early, this year Sprint is off the line first...

Keep in mind that they may have gotten a tracking number but that doesn't always mean it's on a deliver truck. I wan't to say with the Note 5 I had my tracking number for a few days before there was any movement. The rep said the tracking number gets issued when a label is created and the phone is placed on a pallet with a few hundred others destined for the same general location. Then there is getting it to the airport, shipped to destination and loaded on delivery trucks.

I have a hunch some of us will start getting notices of our cards at least being charged tomorrow. No inside info, just a feeling and some assumption based on past pre-order launches.

This clearly looks like they are getting it tomorrow - (https://forums.androidcentral.com/s...y-s9-s9-plus-official-pre-order-thread-3.html)

Also other Sprint people have already seen the charge on their cards, Sprint just beat T-Mobile out this year so I hope we start seeing charges today or tomorrow.

Yea, I would have got my Note 8 super early too if it wasn't for UPS and Irma. Somehow my phone didn't get placed on the nightly flight to RSW in time so they flew it to Miami. Then it got to Miami but UPS stopped shipments because Irma was approaching. It sat in Miami during Irma and for nearly a week after due to power being out at the UPS hub there. I live in Punta Gorda and evacuated when they said surge over 12 feet for my location and I went to just north of Tampa. I was more worried about my Note 8 than my house possibly going under water lol.

Isn't it not your house? That may be why :P.

I'm on Metro PCS (Tmobile Network). I want the Blue S9+, which is only Unlocked or Tmobile, but want to use it on Metro PCS, which uses Tmobile network.
But dont want to lose the wifi calling or visual voice mail or the LTE Band 71 frequency.
Is there anything else the unlocked version would lose using on Tmobile/Metro?

Just saw this on Forbes:

"Reviews of the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus handsets are expected before the end of the week, and units pre-ordered will be available to the public starting on Friday 9th March."
Source: https://www.forbes.com/sites/ewansp...-release-preorder-sales-figures/#7cc4f3fc268c

Perhaps we'll get tracking numbers or...dare I say, even departure scans tomorrow!

Well even if we don't, that's not wrong considering some Sprint costumers will have their devices tomorrow. That excerpt guarantees nothing for T-Mobile folks.

Makes sense why Sprint is shipping now for delivery tomorrow, thanks for the info!
I don't understand why Forbes, of all news sources, would be the only site that knows phones will arrive by March 9th. Why do they have an exclusive on this information, and not so many other sites? Strange.

I personally think they got their date a week off and, coincidentally, Sprint shipped early!

Merely a confluence of events.

That's one hell of a coincidence haha!

Plus reporters may have their own inside sources, it happens all the time and we don't if this information was given out officially to news sources or someone just knows somebody.

I would think Forbes wouldn't allow this information to be posted on their website if it wasn't confirmed since they are a creditable new source and have been in business over 100 years.

Little worried about mine. Noticed my bill to and ship to are both my office even though I entered my home address as bill to. Hope order goes through with this. If not will be a bit upset. Still says ship 13-15

Well, considering that not a single person here reported that their credit card has been charged yet, there are plenty of days ahead for them to debit us. I only wish that they would debit us yesterday!
