T-Mobile HSPA+ getting slower and slower for anyone else?

Here in Worcester, MA I've noticed what I perceive to be a degradation in the network quality in the last month or two. When listening to streaming radio via Tune In and other streaming apps it will frequently fall back to "buffering". This had not happened with any degree of frequency unti recently. This is just walking around outside, not in a building, not in a car. I've done speed tests with the RootMetrics app and the results have been very inconsistent, even when standing at the same location. On one test I'll see either "failed" on the download side, another minute 156 kpbs, and then another test 2MB. I've also noticed the signal strength of HSPA+ tanking. In locations that I previously -80dBm, I'm now seeing -97dBm. In locations where I previously had -95dBm, I'm now seeing -109dBm or a fall back to EDGE. I've been with T-Mobile since 2005, but it seems they are loading up the network without supplying the backhaul. There is also the ever present issue of outside of the city most of the coverage is EDGE/GPRS which unless someone can tell me different, I see no signs of being addressed anytime soon. May just have to dig into the wallet and pay up to A Fee & Fee when my contract expires in August.

I think they've been switching HSPA+ people to the lower bandwidth towers to make room for LTE.

Speedtest in the Baltimore area. I got the Nexus and T-Mobile in March.
Most of these are HSPA+, but one of the record info's (the 9176 one, plus one or two others that I deleted) lists network as "cell"?

0.1Mbps down in Ann Arbor area last night, full bar 3G/H signal. Problems still aren't resolved, and T-Force has stopped responding to my emails. Guess they gave up "helping".

Still getting a lot of poor speeds and seeing that dreaded "E" when previouslt saw "H". And even when it's an "H", the speeds are 1/10th what they used to be. And TMobile doesn't seem to care.

Just did a Speed Test in my home and 3Gbs down and 1.6 Gbs up and the signal in my home isn't that good. It says 3G on the display.

I just did one: 212kbps down, 71kbps up, 543ms ping.

Previously, I would see:12-15mbps down, 1-3mbps up, 40-100ms ping.

Speeds here in St Paul, MN are the same as always - I just tested 5mbs down and 1.5 up from my basement office here (it reads H speeds with barely any bar signal). I get between 6-17mbs down when outside at various places across the city. I have never seen these ridiculously low speeds some of you are reporting. It can't possibly be a standard - there must be something wrong.

I'm getting the same, I used to average 18mbps on T-mobile's faux G but lately I'm only getting 7mbps.

It's all good though, anything more than 4mbps is just a passing contest

I left Sprint for TMobile and before this switchover of towers (and new iPhone users), it was heaven. Now, I'm back to Sprint speeds and service!

I wouldn't go that far. In my final 18 months or so with Sprint, I rarely got above 130 kbps. With TMO, I usually get at least 1.3 Mbps and often over 2 Mbps. That's obviously not as fast as what a lot of other TMO customers are reporting, but it's fast enough for my needs.
