T-Mobile launching new Unlimited 55+ plan with two lines for $60 per month

Since when does TMO offer that? What music services can be streamed without counting toward your data? Spotify? Pandora? What video services? Netflix?

I read that they cancelled the whole "streaming music/videos" without it hitting your data count was discontinued long ago.

It's a feature on a bunch of data plans (or, more specifically, those that have Music Freedom (streaming music) and Binge On (video)) available to them. Binge On or not, the video data still counts towards the "de-prioritization" limit.

With the ONE plans, they killed Music Freedom and Binge On, and made HD video a paid upgrade on the #DataStrong network.

I think raino answered it. I was not on a ONE plan before switching to this so I was grandfathered into the music and video free stuff. When it is unlimited it doesn't matter anymore unless you get to 32gb, when they may throttle your speeds if they need to.

Looks like I have been using less than 10 gb total all this time I had my music and video not count towards my 6gb a month of data. I expect to stay well under 32gb a month. Plus i have 10gb 4g hotspot a month.

Also by paying for 10th of 4g hotspot for 10 bucks a month I also get the unlimited hd video.

Today is the first day of my billing cycle so I am going to see how much data I use by staying of Wi-Fi this month.

Guess you could call it that lol. Senior discounts exist all over the place, so do military discount and student discounts.

This is a good cheap plan, but let's be honest, seniors don't need unlimited data, they aren't the ones streaming stuff and posting to social media all day.
I beg to differ with you hubby is 56 and OTR trucker and streams Netflix and YouTube a LOT. I'm 63 and spend a significant amount of time on FB and the web. My 83 yo Mom is big on texting. We also hope to hook up one of our TV's to our hotspot cuz we have no internet other than that. Some of us old foggies are more hip than others, LOL! We couldn't do what we do with the 55+ plan.

Just remember the 55 plan doesn't get free Netflix. It also doesn't get high speed hotspot without the additional One Plus add-on.

I told my parents about this 3 weeks ago and they love it. They haven't had any problems with service or their bill.

Win win

Hey, I am 55 and while I am not a big video streamer, I am on social media, as well as streaming music and mobile internet all the time. Anyway, I just got around to switching my plan from Simple Choice talk and text with data add-on to this one, I get a couple of extra features that I didn't have before. I did do the One Plus add-on for $10 and dropped my tablet data plan as well since I get 10GB of 4G LTE hotspot. Even paying the extra $10 the One Plus, I still reduced my bill by $30/month!
