Coming from an HTC on Tmo's network, I've run into an issue where using wireless calling MMS messages wouldn't work on alternate messaging apps (for example Google messenger instead of the pre-installed one). Does anyone have this issue with the Nexus 6? I know it's a "pure Android" device but does the carrier put anything on these devices?

I read that Best Buy is price matching T-Mobile's price. Is there any difference in the looks or hardware between the T-Mobile and the Best Buy unlocked ones?

The best buy ones are the same you'd get from moto or google play store. Best buy Nexus will work exactly as t-mobile sold Nexus's

No WiFi Calling on N6 just yet, but I know what you mean. Back when I had my ZTE Concord II on MetroPCS, MMS failed to send over WiFi Calling when I used texting apps that weren't the built in, stock one. I guess it's a propriety issue or something.

Seeing as how the N6 comes with Google's Messenger by default, I have a feeling it'll work with the upcoming WiFi Calling update. It might enable Messenger to work with T-Mobile's WiFi Calling for all phones that support it, even.

I'm waiting for WiFi calling on the Nexus 6, so I haven't made the switch yet, but my T-Mobile Note 3 can't send or receive MMS with any texting app when I'm on WiFi calling. I thought it was WiFi in general, but thanks to your post, I tested with WiFi on and WiFi calling off and it worked!

This will be interesting to see if they got MMS over WiFi Calling (not just WiFi) right.

Just came from BB, they don't want to price match T-Mobile store, saying they have a different model number

Oh, that's such garbage..... Stores are always so quick to weasel out of those price match 'guarantees'. It's the same phone.... the only differences across the different carriers are some really minor software tweaks.

The US has 1 model.. the XT1103, which has two storage and two color options.

You can call the corporate office. Tell them one of their stores isn't honoring the price matching.

Got it now. Took me a few tries over the phone. 2nd rep said they simply dont price match phones....3rd rep done it for me. Just need to pick it up in store

PS. going with BB because there is no $50 restocking fee on returns like Tmobile. Not sure if phone size is good for me.
