I just got a shipping notification from tmobile about my samsung s8 ....I wonder if it will really ship or if they will hold it to ship wed night...weird
kind of annoying since I was debating switching to the s8 plus...oh well!
Good for you. That's great you haven't been burned.
And yep, I did make the same comments during the Note 7 and I'll continue to make these comments as I see fit.
Is there some hard and fast rule that you have to like everything a company does? I'm with them still because I can't get the same plan for the lines I need at anywhere near the same price. If i could I would be gone.
People that want to sit on their hands and do nothing have that right. But I have every right to fight back against things that I don't like.
People voicing their displeasure is what got TMobile to reverse course on JoD down payment for the Note 7.
Doesn't T-Mobile charge a $50 restocking fee?
I was charged yesterday afternoon but as of still this morning, no text and no ups updateif anyone can answer how long after you got the shipping out date text were you charged and what time of the day was it that the charge was done?
I couldn't agree more. I find it amazing that some people feel that just because they are ok with the way things are, that everyone should be ok with it. People saying it's no big deal that Tmo charged ahead of shipping the product...I wonder would these same people be saying that if Tmo decided to start shipping first week in May instead of their posted date.
Honestly, my gut tells me these will begin shipping tomorrow, with batches going out on Mon, Tues and Wed based on when they were pre-ordered. I have felt this way for awhile.
You can interpret that many ways. I interpret as all pre-orders done by the time the first tracking number went out will all be processed together. First come, first serve just tells me that in the event they run low on inventory, people who ordered first will get priority. I haven't heard of any supply issues, though.Well, they DID tell us that preorders would take place on a first come, first serve basis. So the idea that they will ship devices in batches is at least plausible to me.
Because it is a violation of the merchant agreement to conduct business that's way. Plain and simple.
I'm not sure which companies have done the same thing to you but please list them because I'll stop doing business with them.
You are free to think what you want but you are wrong. I've read the merchant agreement because it was sent to me by the CC company.I doubt very much it's a violation of the merchant agreement. Sure, I believe some customer service rep who gets paid by making you happy said that a merchant needs to ship when they charge, but that's not correct. According to the Mail, Internet, or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule (16 CFR PArt 435), merchants must ship within the period of time noted in their advertisements or generally within 30 days if not noted.
Yes, T-Mobile said they'd ship when charged. But if they are actually in the process of shipping (printing labels, setting up drop groups, etc) it is a short walk of logic to say they are "shipping" since from an accounting standpoint, all of those costs are likely attributed to freight.
On top of that, no merchant is going to do business with a CC company that is MORE restrictive than federal law because it would create too much hassle. In other words, I get X number of days with everyone except Tourbound's Visa, in which I have to hurry up and ship...no thanks, I just won't accept Tourbound's Visa.
Don't get me wrong...complaining will get you free stuff. More power to you. Personally, I complain when I get poor service and in this case I think it is misleading by T-Mobile to say what they said. But your behavior seems the equivalent of telling your waiter that you didn't like the hamburger that you already ate and that you should get free dessert. If you don't like the hamburger, send it back.
Again, more power to you and good luck. I just look at things a bit differently, obviously.
Exactly it's is technically shipped so that's how they can charge you. Now if it said that you will be charged when you receive the device that differentJust as an FYI, for the type of stuff we're talking about: shipping label created = shipped. If they charged your card and created a shipping label, that is shipped. Yes, even if it hasn't physically been picked up by the carrier yet.
According to TMobile, that's the loose definition. According to UPS and the credit card company, that's not shipped.Just as an FYI, for the type of stuff we're talking about: shipping label created = shipped. It's not even a loose definition, that's an industry standard. It has to do with the invoicing and the legal terms of shipment. By creating the shipping agreement with UPS or whomever, the carrier creates a billable invoice and at that time the shipper enters an agreement with the carrier. This in turn creates a liability for the shipper which is the time they offset that liability by confirming that the recipient will actually be receiving and paying for the product. If the card transaction were declined, they wouldn't enter the agreement with the carrier.According to TMobile, that's the loose definition.
