T-Mobile Pre-order Thread.

Ditto this. I'm supposedly on T-Mobile's highest credit tier, yet JOD down payments were still asinine. I made sure to let them know I feel about it, too. Also going to generally keep my eyes on the other carriers. Kept my 4 lines on Tmo just for JOD, so no reason to stay with them anymore.
Good luck finding a cheaper rate plan

I've been with T-Mobile since it became a thing in 2001 [was with Voicestream and Omnipoint which were gobbled up by T-Mobile prior to that]. I've always upgraded my devices straight from T-Mobile. The Note 20 Ultra will be my first unlocked device purchased outright from Samsung because of JOD [which I've also been on since it became a thing]. I no longer see the benefit of JOD when it comes to upgrading device.

I went through samsung this year. JOD price was to high. Happy to be done with buying phone through T-mobile. Love how all your free stuff comes with phone through samsung

Yeah I was too lazy to get off JOD because direct purchase would have been about the same for me. But I'm gonna buy my phone off of T-Mobile before the S21 (S30?) comes out next year. I remember a lot of you guys were annoyed at the high down payments last March (because I was among them).

So how does it work with Samsung? Do you get to use your $150 credit when you check out?

Yeah and if you reserve early they give you an extra $50, so you have $200 in freebies to select with the phone.

Yup used it at check out and the items either come with or before the phone comes. There monthy plan is also cheaper than Tmobile and 0 down as well

Oh yeah I keep forgetting this is a thing. I'm gonna have to cut the cord with T-Mobile (at least their JOD program) this fall.

Cool. So what did you get?

If I just wanted cheapest, I'd be on an MVNO.

*EDIT: Was with T-Mobile way back in the late 00s. Had to move overseas for work and canceled. Did the MVNO thing in the early 2010s when I moved back home, before settling in with T-Mobile in 2013.

Why does this read like a dating history?

Anyone have a clue when T-Mobile will get the Watch? Figure I'll get that from them since I already have a LTE Gear S3 from them.

I asked, and they said August 21. So basically, if you're ordering via JOD you can get the watch while you're returning your old phone!

You could get it right now from Samsung.com. But if you're trading in a Gear S3, I would check that the pre-order promo from Samsung is greater than it is for your Gear S3. I took the liberty of checking for you and it's $162 from Samsung, as opposed to $100 from Samsung. So basically if you can wait a couple weeks, you get a $62 reduction in the price of the Galaxy watch 2.

The $73 isn't the amount you actually get though. The total you get through T-Mobile for the note 8 is $300 (at least if you are doing the EIP). The difference between the two is just broken out monthly as credits on your tmobile bill. They just make it way to confusing.
Was going that route but decide to buy unlocked outright from Samsung. Better trade in value for my Note 8 also. T-Mobile offered $73 for my mint Note 8. Samsung offered $200. No brainer.

Thanks for the reply. I purchased my Note 20 Ultra 512 unlocked from Samsung because Tmo only offered me $63 for my Note 8. Samsung offered $250.

Figured I'd get the watch from T-Mobile depending on the discount from my Gear S3. So far it's looking like I'll be buying from Samsung but I can wait.

pre-ordered note ultra 128 gig with t force. Does t mobile ship early. I also got express shipping

TMobile is offering 300

Yeah, no. I'd prefer to have $250 now off the price of my unlocked device than have it spread out over bill credits.

I've been with T-Mobile since it became T-Mobile and decided to go unlocked and no phone payments for the first time.

Call me strange but $250 now is worth more to me than $300 spread out over how ever many months.

So, anyone get a shipping label or a credit card charge? This weekend seems like it'll be when we start to see movement, if prior patterns hold.
