T-Mobile pre-order thread.

Is that to pay off your previous phone or a credit thing? The 512gb is listed as $200 down and the 128gb is $0. Carriers can be overly cautious with new customers on extending them credit for phone purchases.

That's with them paying off the remaining $210 on my Note 9. Been with tmo for 7 years but have poor credit. I put down $279.99 + taxes on the Note 9 when I got in. No trade ins or anything when I did that upgrade. I tried through tforce as well, but they quoted me the same as the website.

What was your down payment? I used EIP because I couldn't bring myself to drop $850 on a phone I'll have for 7 months.

Somehow it was 101 something. I'm not sure why it was so low. I even double checked to make sure I ordered the right model.

Could be you're one of the ultra well-qualified customer. I'm only a well-qualified so I don't get the great discounts, but they usually take care of me. Might have something to do with the fact I have 8 lines with them on autopay. Nearly $500 a month. My credit score isn't good by any means, but T-mobile has always been good to me.

Anyone else here order the 512gb ultra showing a delivery date of 3/7-3/12? I know it's still early, but it has me a little concerned.

I still haven't had a chance to play with one. I don't want to make the next 2 weeks any harder than they have to be. Unfortunately I'll probably stop by my local T-mobile store tomorrow.

Dude, that 120hz is melted butter. You gotta go into settings and turn it on though. The display phones are set to WQHD at 60hz. Was just at T-Mobile today... they had a grey S20, blue S20 Plus, and black Ultra on display.

I tried to enable Developer Settings to see what kind of 120hz options are in there, but after enabling them, they do not appear when I go back into settings. Probably just something they do in those display ROMs.

Well, I know what I'm doing tomorrow. Let's just hope the phones ship early as usual. T-mobile is still showing my phone shipping between the 7th and 12th. I hope it's not true, but on the past the more premium models have had delays. I was hoping to have a week with the phone before I finally get back to work. Been bored out of my mind on workers comp for 4 months.

Enjoy the pre order peeps. I'm sticking with my Note 10+ been the best phone I ever owned. Was thinking about the ultra because of the 5g, 120hz, and that zoom but I'm addicted to my spen

I can't believe it, but I actually did not preorder either. The Note 10+ is pretty awesome, and there's also the issue of the $600 down payment. For a little more than that, I could just pay off the JOD on on my Note 10+ and maybe start doing the Samsung trade ins.

Any updates on jod pricing for ultra well qualified customers?

I'm probably in this category. Still was asked to pay $600 for the S20+ 512 GB. Maybe if I get a bonus in a couple weeks I'll splurge. But this is kind of a nuts price.

I pre ordered the 128 ultra. Maybe that's why my down was so low. In addition, I got an email a while back asking if I wanted to be on some early reservation list. I doubt that ment anything. Just thought I would present all the info lol

that's $600 for the DOWNPAYMENT only, plus a monthly payment.

the 512gb S20 Ultra model that i want has a downpayment of $850! that's silly high for not even owning the phone at the end of 12 months when its time to get the next phone this time next year! it's not like for $850, you have any trade in value.

if one were to go to samsung.com, i think their deals are superior. i've been a JOD customer for years and this time around, they are going out of their way to make it so that the $850 is NOT appetizing for us. simply stated, they don't want this type of business, hence they priced it out of the market, especially since Samsung.com priced it better.

I preordered mine 2 days ago i went with the s20 plus in cloud blue and was given next day shipping for free 😎 i was gonna go for the s20 ultra but they only had black and grey and i wanted a cool color. Plus i think the s20 plus would be more than enough of a upgrade for me coming from a s10 plus.

Any updates on jod pricing for ultra well qualified customers?

I am an ultra well qualified customer who was able to buy the Note 10+ for only $89 down. Unfortunately the S20 appears to be the phone that Tmobile has decided to stick it to the JOD! customers with. I contacted both the t-force team on facebook as well as calling in and both times I was quoted a down payment of $650 for the S20 Ultra. Combine that price with the monthly payments and it no longer makes sense to use JOD! as I would be spending over $800 to use the phone for 6 months and then hand it back in for the next Note phone. That is over $130 a month to simply borrow the phone...

What I decided to do is buy the S20 Ultra directly from Samsung and trade in my wife's S8 for the $200 trade in credit. She will use the Note 10+ until the JOD! contract is complete and I will pay it off at that point and be done with JOD!. In a way I know that this is giving Tmobile what they want anyway as they clearly don't want anybody on JOD! any more, but it will also be nice not to be trapped in the lease contract any more and to avoid the huge hassle that every JOD! upgrade has been.

Purchasing direct from Samsung is a good option as they give good trade in value and apply the credit immediately to the price of the new phone. You also get to pick the items ($200 worth with the S20 Ultra) during checkout instead of submitting for and waiting on a code from Samsung as you would have to do when purchasing from Tmobile. If you place your Samsung order through Rakuten they are also giving 10% cash back credit right now.

My experience is similar to yours, except I believe you are getting the 128gb and I'm getting the 512GB, so my downpayment is a whopping $850, they said. Yikes.

That's the same figure for the past week already posted everywhere.

I'm guessing that customer acquisition cost is not of the paramount importance to TMobile anymore? SMH

Im on Jump! and i preordered the S20+ in cloud blue. 0 down other than tax up front. The monthly payment goes up to 50 a month, but considering the 0 down its not that bad. I currently have the s10+ and put 200 down on that. I have it half paid off with 499.99 left. Essentially I am only going to owe 100 more on the s20+ for it to be half paid off. I would rather put money that would otherwise go to the s10+ to the s20+

I finally order my Galaxy s20 ultra ,after talking with more than 8 "tmobile experts " lmaol based on Philippine seriously they had no clue what an EIP plan its and keep talking about a downpayment, WHAT A FIASCO AND WASTE OF TIME THIS PREORDER HAS BEEN THE WORSE I have done so far 😥

Maybe they were distracted by your lack of a shirt lol.

I've skipped the S20 this time around. Ended up picking up the Note10+. I couldn't justify paying the asking price for the S20 line this year. But I will follow this thread to see how everyone is doing.

I am doing the same thing. I like the rounded edges and the flatter screen, but I am going to wait for the Note 20, since it will probably be the same as the S20 Ultra but with the S-Pen. After that, I will probably start upgrading every 2-3 years since upgrading every year for minimal changes is getting kind of ridiculous.
