T-Mobile pre-order thread.

That sucks. I have a buddy with the same issue. He pretty much has to pay full price for any phone with T-mobile. It's probably your credit rating with T-mobile and that doesn't go strictly off your actual credit score alone.

Yeah they said they can only finance up to $750 on a phone, hence the $650 down payment. JOD was about the same price, but there was also a final payment attached at the end so the eip is the better option still.

If you are good with waiting 2 years to upgrade EIP is the way to go. In the end you own the phone and can use it as a back up or a trade in for an upgrade.

Anyone else notice the second they pre-order a new phone the old ones battery takes a crap? I'm barely getting 4 hours sot now. This happens every pre-order season. It's like my old phone knows I'm moving on.

Samsung.com made me pick my 200.00 credit at time of purchase or I lost the credit.

Ordered the 512 cosmic black s20 ultra
Actually no....if you did not use any of the 200 they would have sent you code for a later date. It's only when you use some that you lose the rest.

Actually yes... I tried to skip it and the message I got was if I skipped I would lose my credit. Wasn't that exact wording but was the gist of it.. at that point I hadn't picked anything yet...

Yeah....the way they handled it with the Note it said something similar but some people did it and it showed up in the cart before payment. I definitely would not finalize the transaction without checking. Reality is everyone is better off using it right away because by the time they send the Ecredit there isn't much left to purchase.

The credit with the note had completely different language. As long as you didn't use any of the credit when you purchased the note they emailed you a code on the s20 however they give you warning and you have to accept that you don't care about the credit if not used instantly.

ya know it was so early in the a.m. that I was blurry eyed I just didn't question it and complied :).. so what you say could be true but I just didn't press it

I need to take a quick poll. What's your T-mobile expected delivery date? Mine shows 3/7-3/12 for the 512gb ultra. I'm hoping it changes soon, but I'm afraid it might not.

Mine also say march 6 -march 6 for my 128 gig s20 ultra in gray

On 2nd thought you may still recieve it since it shows on the order before you check out. Taking a risk, but have proof on the order of the credit.

Seems like it which is great. Used it on literally the last day to get my tab S6 keyboard case which was previously out of stock and unable to order.
As far as I know you still get but I'm basing it on last year.

What's the chances of just picking up an Ultra 128GB in store on the 6th without a preorder? I've never gotten a flagship on launch day. A rep at my local tmo says they're always super stocked for Samsung launches and preorders aren't necessary. Was he blowing smoke?

Pre-orders are only for the freebies and the chance at getting the phone a couple days early. There should be plenty of stock for launch day.

that's $600 for the DOWNPAYMENT only, plus a monthly payment.

the 512gb S20 Ultra model that i want has a downpayment of $850! that's silly high for not even owning the phone at the end of 12 months when its time to get the next phone this time next year! it's not like for $850, you have any trade in value.

if one were to go to samsung.com, i think their deals are superior. i've been a JOD customer for years and this time around, they are going out of their way to make it so that the $850 is NOT appetizing for us. simply stated, they don't want this type of business, hence they priced it out of the market, especially since Samsung.com priced it better.

Wow that's absurd 850 that's ridiculous. I got my 512GB on sprint 100.00 down

Even if I can't get there until the evening since I work that day?
You could always ask the prior day how much they plan to get in and have available. I talked to mines (back then for the S7) and they told me I should go to the other location since they'll have more there.

Agree. I got the S9 on a 50% off promo with trade-in of my S7. Paid for it interest free over the last 2 years. Around $425 total out of pocket I'd estimate. And now they will give me $500 for my S9 as a trade-in when the Swappa prices are around $200. That makes it an pretty easy decision to upgrade to the S20.
