I bought a Galaxy S10 Plus from Ebay to use on Straight Talk. The phone was listed as new but seems to have originally been a TMobile phone. Yesterday I got a message from Straight Talk that they were changing their network and my phone wouldn't work because it doesn't have VOLTE. l look at the network connections and there is no option to turn it on. Is there a way to fix this? I just bought the phone and don't want to spend another $300.

Any help greatly appreciated. I'm not phone or tech savvy at all.

I gave that a try. It goes to the screen that say " A custom OS can cause critical problem..... Volume up for continue, Volume Down for Cancel.

Both puts it back to the error page.

Gotta hit the sack for the night. Work will come early in the morning. I appreciate your help to this point but don't really want to keep nagging you.

Oh woe is me. So after smoking my existing phone, I ordered up a new S10+ from Ebay (Ouch). Before purchasing, I messaged the seller and explained that the phone MUST have VoLTE or I couldn't use it. They replied that it would work for me. It arrived yesterday. I tried to activate it with a Straight Talk SIM Activation kit today using the AT&T SIM from the kit. When I gave them the IMEI number, they said it would not work with the AT&T SIM. AT&T is the only coverage in my are. I checked and the phone did not have the VoLTE option that they insist it must have in order to work on the AT&T network. I am trying to return the phone.

My question is: Is there any way to tell by the model number or something before buying whether the phone will have VoLTE so that I don't keep running myself in circles?

I appreciate your guys help and the patience with this non phone technical person.

S10+ does support VoLTE , Att were giving customers free S9 ,Note 9 for their older devices weren't compatible when 3g shut down.
