I bought a Galaxy S10 Plus from Ebay to use on Straight Talk. The phone was listed as new but seems to have originally been a TMobile phone. Yesterday I got a message from Straight Talk that they were changing their network and my phone wouldn't work because it doesn't have VOLTE. l look at the network connections and there is no option to turn it on. Is there a way to fix this? I just bought the phone and don't want to spend another $300.

Any help greatly appreciated. I'm not phone or tech savvy at all.

I clicked on the Frija to open it. It wanted me to pick an application to open it. I chose the default Microsoft edge. It doesn't seem to open an application. I'm sorry, this is probably over my head.

Yep.

On top of everything else, I just set up the phone I bought last night to get me by (straight talk phone from walmart) and it doesn't have the Volte either which means starting tomorrow it won't work! OMG am I frustrated. LOL.

Wow lol not good news so far .

Once you extract it should say run after clicking on it

OK, I had to download from another website to get get what you have. I put in the model number and the XAA and it's downloading the enc4 file to a folder on my C:. It looks like a LARGE file and i'm way out in the stick so it's going to take a while.

Brother I really appreciate you.

Ok no problem, your welcome !
Let me know when it's finished we need to extract that firmware once downloaded just right click with your mouse and extract, maybe download 7zip for extract

I took my laptop to work today and was able to download the file. I used 7 zip to unzip it. It looks like there are five files in the folder.

Ok perfect
Extract Odin patch B and open it , put the 4 firmware to corresponding slots in Odin
(Back up your device it will Factory Reset)

Odin slot :
BL =BL FIRMWARE
AP = AP FIRMWARE
CP = CP FIRMWARE
CSC= CSC FIRMWARE

PUT PHONE IN DOWNLOAD MODE
CONNECT CABLE BETWEEN PHONE AND COMPUTER

SELECT START IN ODIN AND WAIT UNTILL IT SAYS PASS SHOULD TAKE ABOUT 15 TO 20 MINUTES

I killed it. A minute or two after hitting the start button, it started to make the sound like I was unplugging and plugging the phone into the computer and it said failed. I tried to cancel the download and now the phone says 'An error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software'. When I try to unplug the phone from the computer and plug it back in, it says USB device not recognized.

Any recovery from this point?

Put the phone in download mode again, clear Odin and put those files back , make sure your using a known good cable and try different USB port

It will no longer go into download mode. When I try, it just goes back to the error message. Also, no matter which USB cable or port I use, it says USB device not recognized. I Googled and found Smart Switch and used the 'Reinstall device driver' function and still won't recognize the phone. Done the same thing on a different computer with same results. The phone won't shut off or go into any other mode. Just stays on the error screen.

I appreciate all the help. We gave our best try. Looks like I just have a dud phone. I suppose I'll just have to pony up for a new phone.

Thanks again.

Can't really get a screen capture of the phone but it looks just like the attached. Also a snip of the USB message.

U should be able to get out of that by holding Bixby button volume down and power same time , try with and without the cable inserted
