T-Mobile S10/+: Pre-Order Thread

If I order pre-order the S10 it will cost me $99 down + tax. And the monthly will be $22, down $8 from my Note 9. Now if I can get free overnight shipping I'll be set.

I've done about 4 pre-orders now with T-Mobile, never had to worry about asking for overnight shipping and I got my phone on the same day as everyone else. I usually get the phone a day or two before the official launch day but that is never a garuntee. I think it was with the Note 5 that T-Mobile shipped it out almost a week before the official launch date and the other carriers got PO'd. After that it has typically been 1-2 days early, Samsung probably stepped in and told the carriers not to ship any more than X days prior to launch date.

Re: T-Mobile Pre-Order Thread

Also with the lower down payment means higher monthly payments. I was talking to a rep on the phone and the + was $260 something with taxes and down payment. How did you get it that low? I'm been with T-Mobile for 15 years. And this best they can do?

Do you have jump? The regular payment plans don't get that cheap for down payments.

I'm waffling between regular or plus. I have a note right now and it can get annoying with how big it is.

Talked to Tmo.

For Jump!

S10+ 128gb: $199.99 (plus tax) down, $22.23/month

S10+ 512gb: $449.99 (plus tax) down, $22.23/month

Ouch. I dont even wanna know what the TB one is. Guess its 128gb for me, luckly I got a 256gb sd card. I wanted the ceramic white but oh well.

That's the regular EIP pricing, not Jump pricing.

Also the Jump down payment for the ceramic 1TB one is like $550

For those who have already preordered are you doing it on the website, over the phone or in-store? I have an old S7 Edge I can trade in and wondering what would be the best route to go. On a side note - I'm an existing post paid TMO customer and I chatted with TMO Help via Twitter asking if a credit check is run for existing customers since you have to buy the phone via EIP to be able to do a device trade-in and they said no credit check for existing customers. Reason I asked is because I would hate to have a hard inquiry on my credit report

Help thru Twitter is best way to go. They know their stuff...calling in....they are idiots.

Did T-Mobile JOD for the regular S10, prism white 512GB.

Thanks to some bad information I got from a Verge or PocketNow article that was since edited, I was under the impression that the 128GB variant only came with 6GB of RAM -_-

I only realized until after my pre-order that both of the S10 variants come with 8GB RAM. That was the only reason I got the 512GB version, extra RAM. Oh well, T-Mobile's billing can be so finicky so I just stuck with my order. JOD down payments were less than I thought, on the plus side.

Right? I was pleasantly surprised at how low they were, all things considered. I didn't have to tear them a new one and get almost $500 in bill credits like I did when I bought two iPhone X's last year and they changed the down payment policy without telling anyone first.

Yup! Especially after those JOD prices that leaked yesterday... the 512GB S10 was $350 on that leaked list, but ended up only being $201! I wonder if I got the 128GB S10 instead, the down payment might have been close to $0.

I've been with T-Mobile since 2013, so I'm guessing the good pricing was a product of that tenure.

It was around $70 from the price they gave me.

Still haven't pulled the trigger yet. Got Twitter help to offer me a $100 credit for the 10+, but I'm tempted to just hold off till my phones are paid off and switch to Verizon. This whole down payment thing has become rediculous. The point of JOD was to get multiple phones a year and now it costs nearly $500 plus $30 a month. That's almost $900 a year. I can buy the phone from Samsung for that then trade it in towards the next one and get half of that back.

How did you manage to get a $100 credit?

Complained and threatened to switch carriers. Have to talk to Twitter help though they're the only ones that seem to be able to do anything. For the note 9 I managed to get $200 in credits towards the $280 down payment.

Yup. I feel the exact same way and did the exact same thing for a prior device. If Verizon wasn't so darn expensive I would have switched long ago

I pulled the trigger and ordered the 128 S10 plus Prism Black. I got the lady on the phone to wave the $20 upgrade fee they charge for ordering online and she put in for free overnight shipping as well. I'm going to check out Best Buy this weekend and see if they have any demos out. And to see if the S10+ is to big for me or not.

Wait, you got the 512 GB on JOD!? They told me the only option was 128 GB. Dang, I don't want to change my order and risk getting my phone delayed, but I might have been tempted to do this if it were an option...

I switched my pre-order through T-Mobile via JOD!

I decided to spring for the S10+ Prisim Black 128GIG for $133 down & $37 a month.. Scored a $20 bill credit because along the way my order got super jacked up and wound up cancelling 3 orders before getting it right.

I pre-ordered the S10 yesterday but changed my mind! Hope I don't get delayed for that move! Lol
