T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note7 Ordering Information

here is the reply I got from a TMO rep on fb.

"We don't comment on rumors or speculations" would be the rational/robotic response. But I'm irrational and not a robot lol. To be honest at this point in time, we don't have any plans to release the device early. However, history does show that we've done this in the past so it's a reasonable guess to make that it might happen again with the Note 7 ??????. *DarrylM

If that helps anyone's anxiety a bit.

What does that even mmmeaaannnn?!?! What an ambiguous turd, Darry.

That's actually pretty interesting. I've seen quite a few people say their shipping method is listed as USPS (mine order info is blank due to JOD). Most have said that Tmo reps have told them it's an error and will change to UPS but what if Tmo knew they wouldn't get their stock until near-release and decided to use USPS because they have more weekend movement?? Uh oh, conspiracy theory time!

Mine said USPS since day one. Even when the shipping dates starting bouncing around. I wouldn't mind USPS because they would leave it in the mailbox and not throw it wherever they feel like it. Although with UPS I have my choice premium and would reroute it to a UPS store anyway.

Which is dumb for Samsung to be mad at Tmobile because as we have seen the S7/ S7 edge has done quite well in sales. I don't see how Tmobile sending it to us who ordered early hurts their sales at all.
They have agreements and there is a certain hype to in store sales.

When I bought my Note 5 there was someone from Samsung there taking picture of people there on release day.

There is also a date they both agree to. I'm sure Samsung also got slammed with calls when TMO shipped and Verizon and AT&T hadn't yet.

I can understand, they have contracts and their reasons, whatever they are, for it.

Yes, but we are ordering them, not buying them in the stores.

We are "PRE" ordering them. But from what I've seen and no activity so far....that was pointless lol. I can only imagine the line of pissed off people waiting at the T-Mobile store to get one and cancel their order.

Samsung may not really care that they ship early but everyone else- other carriers and retailers- may care. There are street date contracts in play between Samsung and everyone selling their phones. Samsung may be getting a lot of push back that they are allowing T-Mobile to grossly violate the contract, which could show favoritism. It really could drive more people to sign up for T-Mobile to get phones early. Now, Samsung may be fining T-Mobile for violating the contract and T-Mobile may not care because it's free word of mouth advertising for them. Samsung has to keep the contracts fair and consistent if they aren't punishing the offenders.

Samsung may finally have decided to clamp down on the early shipping and it may be starting with this device.

True, but there would really be no reason to cancel your order if it's expected to arrive the 19th since that is when the stores will have them is the 19th unless you have blue which is harder to come by. You would be wasting a trip to the store instead of having it arrive at your house the same day.

Exactly.

I ordered blue. My ship date was between 18-19 since last Thursday when I pre-ordered. On Monday, it changed to 9-6 to 9-20. Then back to 8-18 to 8-19. Then on Tuesday it went to 8-23 to 9-6. So yes, I will probably be one of those people. I refuse the possibility of waiting until September 6.

Right now I don't think pre-orders of blue are going to be an issue. Of course that could change.

You can't tell anything by those shipping dates right now. You will get shipping notification, telling you it is shipping or it is delayed.

I hope you're right. Because I will definitely be the first person in line at the store close to my job if it gets delayed. I had like a sense of comfort when the shipping date was between the 18-19 because I knew at last I would get it by then. But now knowing nothing is really giving me anxiety.
If it gets delayed, they still can't charge me until shipping then right?

I can see why to cancel then. I ordered black on 8/4 so I got no reason to cancel. My shipping date hasn't changed. It doesn't look like we will be getting them that early now. Hopefully maybe Tue or so we will get them.

Does Samsung's theme store allow you to make your own themes?

I think the Note 7 allows you to port over items between themes (this is new) to create a "custom theme" but if not, there are apps on the play store that allow you to create themes (ish)
