T-Mobile users-anyone update yet?

I see that, but no update currently available. This page still reflects 5.1.1

From your link it's still in development:

Seen here, the Nexus 5 is complete

Hmmm, odd. My S5 just did an update, but the version # is still 5.1.1. Well, I suspect the real think can't be far off.

Dream on! Maybe another 3 -> 5 months.

Nexus devices get it first. Flagship devices next and then the S5... (some carrier branded phones even later!)

Well, I can wait, but it's nice to know I can flash my 2013 N7 in the meantime. I hope T-Mobile is quicker with it than AT&T was with Lollipop.....

My carrier is Sprint, and I still haven't seen anything above 5.0. When I attempt to run system update, it throws the unauthorized modification error and suggests that I try updating through Kies. I have a rooted phone so it doesn't surprise me to get some kind of error here, but does that error message imply that there *is* a system update out there for Sprint? Kies still shows I have all the latest.

I'm willing to do a factory reset for an OS upgrade, but only if I know there that there actually is an upgrade...and also that I'll be able to root it again aftetward.

Android 5.0, G900PVPU3BOG1, is the latest release for Sprint.

Only T-Mobile (USA), G900T, and, subsidiary, Metro-PCS, G900T1, have received the, so far, ill fated Android 5.1.1 update. Samsung may choose to bypass Android 5.1.1, as they did with Android 4.4.4 last year, which they never released to their worldwide models, and could instead, concentrate on releasing Marshmallow.

...And Sprint may choose to concentrate on being last to release the update for their users. But at least I still have unlimited data, so who am I to kwetch?

Yeah, I'm still waiting for the 6.0 OTA on my Nexus 7 (2013). I think the Marshmallow update for the TMo GS5 will hit around Christmas time this year. For us on AT&T, I'm thinking spring/summer 2016.

If you don't want to wait for the OTA for your N7, you can download the image now and flash it yourself. Oddly enough, I've had two updates in the last two days, one from Google, the other from T-Mobile, and yet both my S5 and N7 are still on 5.1.1. Not a bad thing, but I wonder what those were. I can see no difference in either device after they installed.

Dunno why you say "ill fated." Many held off on on all the 5.x updates until 5.1.1 came available, and on both my phone and tablet it's been stellar. Longer battery life, much more responsive than KitKat. At least with this release, you can move apps to your SD card. I've been on Android since Eclair, and 5.1.1 is, by far, the best version of the OS I've used.

"So far, ill fated", meaning that although T-Mobile (USA) first had Android 5.1.1 some 4 months ago with 4 updates since, Samsung has chosen so far not to issue this release to its own unbranded worldwide models, much in the same way as they did last year with Android 4.4.4 which a few U.S. variants received. Choosing, instead, to bypass it in favour of Lollipop.

Right. My wife's S5 is an AT&T model, and she shows no updates. My S5 came with KitKat, and updated to Lollipop within 48 hours of my activating it. That's why I think T-Mobile will roll out Marshmallow as soon as they think they have a stable release. I'm in no hurry, as 5.1.1 does everything I need and is rock solid.

Doubt it. Manufacturers or carriers, as a rule, do not supply images for download and flashing; you'll likely just have to wait til either LG or your carrier decide that it's ready. That, or root your device and use one of the custom ROMs that will most certainly appear, assuming you can. I like that T-Mobile at least has a site that gives you some idea where they are in the process, but even with that it may still be a while before they release it.
