So I was at a T-Mobile Corp store yesterday. I happened to notice the worker had a Active S8. I said is that available now? The worker was surprised I noticed it. He said its a test unit. He said its working flawless.
Has the 600 freq band.
He said he is hearing by end of the month of November it might be avaiable!

Just wanted to pass this on to fellow T-Mobile users.

Picked up the Active today at T-Mobile. Jumped from a V20 that unfortunately was giving me issues with texts. Other than that I though the V20 was a solid phone. Was torn between the Active and the V30+ that's now available as well.

Anyone using this on T-Mobile see any faster speeds. or better signal penetration due to the new band 71? I am on T-Mobile but not using the Active. I was going to get one but I hate the Bixby button and the fingerprint placement. So I am waiting to see what phones will carry the new band for 2018. But I am curious if band 71 helps anyone at all.

I'm not sure about the signal because I've never had signal issues in my area. This phone is great though and the battery life is very good. I love this phone overall, it's a shame it was released so much later than the AT&T version.

Really a phone worth looking at out of T-Mobiles Android offerings.
