T-Mobile WiFi calling icon

Does anyone know if there is a way to stop the WiFi calling icon from appearing in the notification tray without turning WiFi calling off?

There isn't a way without root (to my knowledge).

You have the ability to remove individual notification icons in Marshmallow.
