Tab 3 7.0 should be getting update very soon

I ended up getting a rather big surprise late last night. An update to the Kit Kat release for the Tab 3 7.0 which may haven't been a major update to what I've already had with 4.4.2 but I imagine some bugs were squashed.

I have included a screenshot of the Android version and build number, I'm curious if anyone else has seen this update and possibly compare build numbers from the initial Kit Kat update for this tablet. Anyone?

Good to see that it's FINALLY made it to the Wifi version. The performance of my LTE version got a lot better after kitkat

The odd part here is that I've had the update for nearly a year. This update is something new for the standard WiFi model that has a newer kernel (check the release date on my image). I almost thought that Samsung was going to give the Tab 3 range some Lollypop goodness but it's not the case this time.

This is actually a second build of 4.4.2 that was pushed to my Tab 3. I don't know what was updated or changed in the core OS other than a new kernel and other possible low level tweaks to the OS but not enough for a point release.

Split screen is still working when it was first introduced to this model number. It feels quicker to respond, but I still simply lack any sort of change log from Samsung like I'm used to seeing when I get even the smallest update to OS X on my MacBook Pro. Or any other Android device.

There are some noticeable changes after realizing that I had posted a "about" screen when I first got the 4.4.2 update earlier in this topic.

Here you all can see that a mystery second update is floating around for this model. Why a second release of Kit Kat? Only Samsung knows. The only difference I see is the newer build but same point release of Kit Kat and most likely the last since the Tab 4 is pretty much mainstream while the Tab 3 lineup is old hat.

Im still baffled by two different builds of Kit Kat now for the same tablet even well after it's been replaced by the Tab 4 series of which I noticed that SDXC card support was removed from the Tab 4. No upgrade for me. I like having 64GB of external storage.

Anyway, can anyone here make sense of this new update? It's just so odd to see that an older device would get a second update.

I have a different kernel, though.

SM-210 almost identical as SM-T210R, except it doesn't have IR sensor which controls a Samsung TV.
That's reason firmware is different.
SM-2105 Kid version is identical as SM-210 except it has Kid Mode, these two models can exchange maiboard without any problem as they have identical components except mainboard.

The IR blaster in the SMH T210R isn't limited to Samsung televisions. Been using mine with my Sony TV the day I bought this tablet and set up Watch On. The updates really had ruined the app though. Often resulting in FC on Jellybean and Kit Kat firmware updates.
