Tab A 9.7 Touch Wiz not responding, error loop

This tablet has Marshmallow update. Error message won't allow me to access to do anything in Application Mgr. Tried reboot, resett setting, tried installing Nova Launcher - won't work. I generally use Kids Place launcher for the kids but this won't work anymore either. Tablet stuck in error loop. Will clearing partition work for this problem? How do you do it on tablet? Help!

Welcome to the forums. When you say reset, you mean a factory reset? Clearing the cache partition in recovery may help.
 
I haven't done a factory reset. Will this work or is it trial and error? How do you clear the partition? Is it the same method as for phones (home, Vol Up and Power key)? Thx.

Just wiped the partition. Rebooted tablet and fix didn't work: It appeared to reboot ok. Then I tried to launch Kids Place. That started then recd error msg that Unfortunately Kids Place stopped working (looped about 3x) then started getting Touchwiz error loop, which is where I'm at now.

Just tried factory reset. At screen prompting me for Samsung account password (is this right?), I entered pw. Then recd error popup: "processing failed" What does this mean?

You should be able to skip the Samsung sign in and enter your Gmail.
 
I ended up doing a factory reset. Seems to have worked. Time will tell. Thx.
