I got S7 a week ago and was waiting for plastic nibs for note taking. Yesterday, first time I was taking notes, I noticed when I put my palm on screen to write on it, screen was springing ( like when I press a little it goes in when I don't it comes back to rest position. Sorry I am not native English speaker so, I don't know if springing is the right word for it. ) Is it fine or If I continue using it like this is it going to damage the screen like putting black holes like how it used to be on laptop screen that got strained because of lids? Anyone having same issue ( or maybe its not a issue )? First time using a tablet in 7 years so I don't know what's normal. I thought gorilla glass should be solid and won't do something like this so, I am asking if its normal or not.

It's normal. The screen and the glass aren't completely rigid as they allow for some spring/flex (and since this is meant to be a note-taking device, even more so). Furthermore, unlike 'traditional' panels, this not only has the display, digitizer, and glass layers; you also have the Wacom digitizer for the pen (your finger and the pen use different 'layers' to work, which is why your finger can work on any screen but your S-Pen won't). As long as you don't apply too much force , it won't break or be damaged (again, just like any other phone would). Unlike LCD panels of yore, pressing on the screen will seldom cause permanent damage.

As for Gorilla glass, it's actually the opposite. HARD glass shatters easily. Flexible glass doesn't. Gorilla glass is meant to be more resistant to breaks and cracks, and while it helps with minor scratches, it's not meant to deter them (again, since the process is geared towards preventing cracks, not scratching).
