Tab self advertising instead of sleeping. Sucks up battery!

Hey everyone. I have a big problem with my tablet. Since maybe a week ago, it started playing this video of what you can do with the device during what should be sleepmode. Um, I've had this for over a year, I know the deal..I do not understand why it would suddenly do this and why it would be such a pest with sucking up my battery life. Is it malware? Poor marketing?

Edit: I have v2 of 10.1. Not sure if that completely matters but I guess I need my thread moved.

I am wondering if for whatever reason there is a Demo mode or something that got enabled?

I am not sure. I was only inferring from seeing units in stores that act like you describe.
