Tablet Reset

A person I know on another set of forums has come across an issue with an Android tablet recently. Seems his father installed some type of screen dimming program onto the thing and once he lowered the screen brightness below 25% it became unreadable. So far I have no idea what OEM has made the tablet but I have asked.

What my question comes down to, is there some type of universal reset for Android tablets no matter who the manufacturer is or does it vary depending on who made it and possibly on the model of said tablet?

Is the app screen filter?

if you are using a screen filter or screen dimmer app then you can go to the market, my apps, and in the list of installed apps you can uninstall that app

If the screen is just really dim then go into your settings, display, and unclick auto brightness and you should see a slider bar, move it to the right until the screen is legible
